Never again
I have bought three vehicles from them. Each time, my experience got worse. The initial buying the vehicles were fine. Fair prices, Paul Carpenter is easy to get along with. The service center is horrible. Communication between sales and service center is horrible. Communication between myself and the service center is pointless. I`d have an appointment and they would always have to reschedule. They replaced brakes a... view morend I left with service lights on in my vehicle that they claim are a "coincidence". Which very well could be, but I have proof that I`ve between lied to before by them. Luckily I didn`t have them fix it. They charge $260 for the part. My mechanic can get the part for $78. Sad to say, this is the last time I buy from them or refer friends and family.

The worst dealership
The worst auto dealer I have ever dealt with. Let me first say I have a auto repair backround. I was looking at a used Ford F-250, I took it for a test ride and it ran terrible and shook violently when you applied the brakes. I told them that if these items were repaired I would probably buy the truck, I even told them that it was most likely bad coils, so I went back in and we talked numbers and I was happy with th... view moree trade-in value they quoted. They refused to write up anypaper work until the repairs were done. Three days later they called me and said that the repairs were made. I test drove it again and it still ran terrible, the brakes didn`t shake, but now they were soft and pulled to the right. They said they turned the rotors, but when I looked through the wheels the rotors were rusted and pitted. What they did I don`t know. Three days later they called and said it was fixed again, it ran good (2 bad coils- go figure) the brakes were still not right but I was willing to let that go, so I figured it was down to signing papers. Then they said that they would have to re-evaluate my trade in ??? Now they said my truck is worth over $2000 less than it was 6 days earlier! When I questioned them on why, they said they did not see the paint defects on my vehicle (they looked at it, they acknowledge the paint issues, and test drove it for 15 minutes) They also said they had to put $1000 into the truck I was buying to fix those issues and acted like they were doing me a favor in making repairs they would have had to have done anyway. The little they did, did not even cost them $300.00 with labor. (I told them they should look at new mechanics.) Needless to say I did not buy the Truck. This is the second time I looked at buying a vehicle there in the last 7 years and again they were dishonest, shady, and I would not recommend them to anyone

Best dealership I`ve worked with
This is the best dealership I`ve every worked with.
Great owners, great employees, great service.
It is so nice to deal with service techs that talk in laymen`s language and never try to suggest that I NEED MORE service unless it is a safety issue.
Wouldn`t go anywhere else.

Recently I purchased a wagon a...
Recently I purchased a wagon at Cloquet Ford?ˆ™s Armory Sale. The entire sales process was hassle free and easy. I felt that I was a person, and not a number; bravo all was good.
On my way home the engine light came on. They later determined the problem and stated that there would be no charge; however after they fixed it, they did charge me a misc. fee. My argument was that I was told that ?ˆ?there would be no charg... view moree?ˆ? to fix the initial problem and being charged even the slightest fee was in bad taste. Also, since I had the vehicle less than 30 days and was not told that one window was inoperable at the time of the sale, the window also should be fixed at no cost.
After a short deliberation, the window was fixed at no cost and the misc. fee will be applied to an oil change. I am very happy that this is a company that works to make things right. I would gladly recommend this firm to anyone. Things happen everyday in any business. Cloquet Ford is a company that fixes it!

A terrible experience
I would never do business at this company. I went in to assist my close friend in buying her new car. She put a deposit down on a car she was unsure of, and when she asked for the deposit back the salesman bullied her for 30 minutes. She was nearly in tears before he released her money to her. When we were leaving he (the salesman) yelled after us, in a loud voice that the everyone in the show room could hear, that h... view moreer decision not to listen to him was going to cost her. I have never in my entire life had an adult be this rude to me. Please look elsewhere to purchase your next vehicle.
