Took my car there because it was having trouble starting with the starter being only a year old, so stopped in and with out them even pulling the car into the garage they insisted on the starter that i had another company put in was junk and i needed a new one, so i took it somewhere else and they said that i just had a bad connection with a bolt on the starter loose, this other company tighted the bolt and i was on ... view moremy way and saved $275 A AMCO is a joke and cheaters would never recommend them would rather walk to where i needed to go than have them fix my car

I took a vehicle to AAMCO to have the tranny looked at because it acted up qt highway speeds. They called and said it needed a rebuild. There were worn metal parts, metal shavings in the fluid, and the fluid was burned and looked like tar. I stopped in to look at it and they could not show me any metal shavings or wear on the parts and the fluid was fine. I had it taken to another mechanic and the torque converte... view morer, valve body, and pump were not from my truck. AAMCO would not admit to replacing my good parts with junk from other model years. After putting the tranny back together it still had the original problem. It was the catalytic converter being plugged that robbed the engine of power and caused the tranny to act up. AAMCO would not admit to any mistakes, they were very rude, and they were caught in numerous lies. DO NOT DEAL WITH AAMCO!!!!! I later looked online, checked the BBB, and checked Consumer Protection. They have a terrible history of cheating customers.
