AUTO SERVICE JOKE!!!

I Found This So-Called Repair Shop On Craigslist, and The Ad Looked Pretty Good As Far As The Prices Go. So I Made an Appointment For a 4 Wheel Alignment Which They Advertised And Also Told Me Over The Phone Would Be $29.95. But When I took My Car In, They Quickly Changed The Price To $39.95. I Reluctantly Went Along, Because A Front-End Alignment Does Go For Alot More, Like $60 to $80. But I did Make Sure That If... view more The Car Needed Something Besides an Alignment, They would Call Me Before Any Repairs Were Done. It Didn`t Take Very Long For Them To Call Me Back (45 Minutes) To Tell Me That They Couldn`t Get The "Jam Nuts" Loose, and That It Would Be Another $65 To Loosen Them Up Before They Could Do The Alignment. I Quickly Told Them No Thanks and I Would Be There To Pick Up My Car. I Thought Why Should I Have To Pay An Extra $65 For Them To Loosen Up "Jam Nuts". Isn`t It Part Of The Job To Either Loosen-up Or Tighten Nuts or Bolts on Any Service Of A Car!!! Now I Know This Because I also am a Mechanic. I`ve Been One For Close To 30 Years, Ever Since I was a Boy I`ve Been Around Cars! I Only Took My Car In Because I Don`t Have The Alignment Machine To Get The Wheels Aligned To A Specific Number That You Need For Proper Alignment! Now, The "Jam Nuts" They Were Talking About Were The Lock-Nuts On The Ends Of The Tie-Rods! As Soon As I Got Home With My Car, I Loosened The 2 Lock-Nuts Not "Jam Nuts" With a Couple Tapps Of My Wrench, So I Guess They Weren`t That Tight Or Rusted-Over Like They Told Me!! Another Thing I Noticed Was That They Never Took The Wheels Off, Because I Had The Tires Off The Night Before and I Know How Much I Tighten My Wheels And They Were The Same When I Took Them Off To Check Out The So-Called "Jam Nuts"!!! So What I`m Trying To Say Is That They Get You To Come In With A Cheap Price, Then They Try To Get People That Don`t Know About Cars To Pay More Money For Problems You Don`t Even Have!! SO I HIGHLY DON`T, I MEAN DON`T TAKE YOUR CAR OR ANYTHING ELSE TO THIS PROFESSIONAL RIP-OFF ARTIST !!!!!
