Went in for service on my chrysler which has the craziest problems. They welded my seat back together and gave me a great price. I have gone in there for other service as well and every time they are always helpful and do everything they can for me. My brother and parents bring their cars here now as well for service, and they always get the best work for the best price. I will continue to refer people here for the friendliness and great service i have always received here.

I am looking around at various
I am looking around at various dealerships to see what kind of car I want and decide to go check out a Mini Cooper at South Side. My friend and I walk in to the small office where no one is to be seen, but upon further searching we find a man whom seems to be the owner at a desk behind a wall if tires. I say we are interested in the car, to which he asks ""what?"", making me repeat myself three times before asking ... view moreme how I was going to pay for it. Now, keep in mind I only said I was interested. I told him it would be cash, to which he responded ""show me the cash"". Now, when looking for a car I don`t carry around the money to purchase it, especially when it`s $9000. He then proceeded to say ""there will be no joyriding today boys"". First of all, I`m 25 years old, and you don`t treat customers like that. I left and bought an $11000 car, a sale he missed out on. If you want to be treated with respect, stay away from this ""dealership"".

Moris = Morons! DO NOT BUY HERE!
These people are crooks. Horrible service! They sold my wife a crappy car! Less than a week after we got it home, it was having problems. Took it to them to have it fixed. They fixed it alright! But caused another problem (I`m 99% sure they did it on purpose). They wanted me to pay to have a problem they caused to be fixed. Of course I declined. Taking them to small claims pretty soon. I should have paid attention to... view more the 5 complaints on BBB. Now six because of mine. Oh-yea, the only reason this business has 3.75 stars is because the owners log on with different email accounts and give false reviews. If you check the grammar (lack of) and punctuation (again, lack of), they are the same. Also, I`m a pre-law major... So if anybody wants help with their case or would like somebody to guide them, just let me know. They messed with the wrong person!

Awesome Used Lot & Service
Southside Auto is a great car dealership. I have always received top service from Dominic and the other sales/service staff. They are friendly, helpful and answer all of my questions promptly and truthfully. They beat all of the used car dealerships in the area, they have a great selection of cars and reasonable prices. I would recommend Southside to anyone who is looking to buy a car or service a vehicle

I contacted Mark about a V6 Camry I was interested in since I was out of state. I asked him what was wrong with the car.. I wasn`t told about the broken inside door handle, broken antenna, torn head liner, rear seats not attached, putrid smell like it sat for years, sun roof caulked in place.. Or the seat stitching completely separated which he told me about the day before I flew out after I had paid $1100 down and h... view moread a plane ticket in hand. I was also told if I had a mechanical issue on the way home, South side auto mart would pay for half of the repair. I bought the car because a return plane ticket would have cost a fortune and the car did seem to run OK. 50 miles out of town the car started to run rough shaking and shuddering. Most of the 350 mile trip home I was wondering if it would make it in one piece. I brought the car to my mechanic who installed new plugs and wires for $420. I called south side back with the bill in hand and was told plugs and wires were typical maintenance and they wouldn`t pay for half of the repair after I was told they would. BLATANT LIE ! I ended up paying OVER clean retail for a car which would need another $2000 in parts and labor to be so. I should have paid attention to the five BBB unresolved complaints.. Soon to be six. Don`t walk away.. RUN!

Nice selection of cars - Reasonable Prices
Although the only car we checked out was a Rendezvous, the service was better than most. The guy was kind and courteous when helping us out. It did take a while for him to come out and ask if we needed anything but at least he did. The car - not so good. It rattled, whined and was dripping an unknown fluid from the front. The interior wasn`t the best either.

A relaxed approach to car sales
I bought a very nice used 98 Ford Escort from these guys a few weeks ago. This was my first time buying a car at all, and I checked out some other dealers first; most did not have what I was looking for or were way too high-pressure for me to give them my money. But I found a few cars to look at on Yahoo Autos, and they were at the South Side Auto Mart.
It was very conveniently located, easy to find from 794 Eas... view moret or anywhere else. I really like their relaxed attitude. When I walked onto the lot someone asked if I needed help, and I said ""just looking"" like we all do; the guy said to let him know when I was ready and he actually left me alone.
The selection was very good, a nice range of vehicles in all conditions and prices. And when I found a few to take a closer look at they gave me the keys and told me to have fun (they didn`t even ask for my license, I guess I look old).
I talked to the manager, Mark, for a while. He told me this was a family business, he started working there for his dad at 18, and most of the guys in the shop were family or close friends. They also had a full service repair shop on site.
When I picked a car out and we started talking numbers they were reasonable but firm, I feel I got a fair deal, I paid about $500 over Blue Book, but that`s dealer cost. And they took my junker in trade.
The one down side is that they do not have great financing. I was told they go through an area bank that is a secondary lender so the best interest rate they could give me was 10%, but I got a sweet deal through my bank instead.
Overall I had a good time buying my car there, go figure. Aside from the usual jitters about buying a car these guys were no pressure, fun to talk to, and sold me a wonderful car.

Reliable Used Vehicles
I bought a very reliable Mercury Villager at a fair price at this dealership. I felt the service was friendly and I didn`t feel pressured at any time. I would recommend checking out their used vehicles, especially since there are so many bad used car dealerships out there.
