Took a 1990 Vanagon to them for a rebuild back in 2009, got it back and a cat had been my vehicle and urinated on all the upholstry. He attempted to have it cleaned but I had to pull all the seats out and clean them to get the urine out. It leaked oil when I got it back. The oil buzzer wiring was connected backwards, they tried to tell me it was the computer which was an incorrect diagnosis which I proved to his mech... view moreanic. It broke down after the 1500 mile break in period on road trip due to a "manufacturers defect" in the shaft bearing though I suspect it was put in backwards so the oil holes didn`t line up on the journal bearing and thus wasn`t properly lubricated causing the engine to seize. The oil level was fine when I checked it (oil level was at the full mark) but he claimed it was 2 quarts low. When I got it back again 3 months later it leaked more oil than before and now there is an exhaust leak and a rough idle. He had my van most of the year and I am still not happy with the results. I ended up having to replace the engine.
