Q: I have a leak under the car and the fluid is red in color. What do I do?
A: The right amount of transmission fluid is important to the proper operation of the transmission. The fluid acts as a lubricant, carries away the heat and transmits power. Leaking or low fluid level can affect any one of the above mentioned items, and have an adverse effect on the proper function of the transmission. Upon detecting a leak, it is important that you have your vehicle inspected to determine the source of the leak. OTC`s highly trained technicians can do just that. OTC`s vehicle inspection is 100% free. This service will not only identify the source of the leak but will determine how serious the leak. All leaks may not be serious, while other leaks may result in a complete transmission failure. A free inspection by OTC`s qualified technician is the best way to tell. Always have any leak resealed as soon as they develop is the best policy.
Q: My clutch feels loose and goes all the way to the floor when depressed
A: This problem is commonly associated with a clutch master cylinder that may need servicing. OTC is experienced in replacing this part and can have it finished quickly, often within the same day
Q: My car shudders when releasing the clutch
This problem is indicative of a clutch that may need servicing or may need to be replaced. We suggest having this problem diagnosed as soon as possible.
Service Philosophy:
We will perform all the proper steps when diagnosing your transmission symptoms. We will road test your vehicle, followed by a computerized scan of your vehicles transmission. After that if needed to make a proper diagnosis, we will remove & examine the transmission pan to see if your transmission problem can be repaired without the transmission being removed. If it turns out your transmission must be rebuilt, we will conduct a professional mannerism & provide the industrys highest quality parts, backed by our own OTC`s warranty.

The worse feeling in the world is when
The worse feeling in the world is when you have something mechanical go wrong and you have no idea how much it`s going to cost, or whether you are going to actually get the service you pay for, or even worse, whether you are going to get cheated! Luckily, I have a GREAT mechanic, Paul at Orenco Station Import, who has done all of my work for the last 12 years. I would trust him with anything. Unluckily, he happene... view mored to be gone for a couple of months just when the transmission on my 1997 perfect condition Prelude went out. Well, of course that`s how it goes. However, he had recommended Duyck`s Garage in Hillsboro for my non-Honda needs and so I had the car towed to them. It`s kind of like a Kevin Bacon ""degrees of separation"" thing. Unluckily, it wasn`t a simple job. It needed a real transmission overhaul and they recommended Oregon Transmission Center, whom they had referred their clients to in the past. Well, I am a savvy internet girl, so I went out and read the reviews. Eeek! Some were good. One not so good. BUT. Duycks had referred me and I KNEW those guys were honest and trustworthy. And so... I had to trust someone, right?
This was in March of 2012, and a month or so has gone by and I finally have time to write my review. Yes, they are a VERY good transmission center. They charge correctly. They do the work in a professional manner. They have an outstanding warranty. I called around before I agreed to the work. (Except I couldn`t talk to Paul!! Ack!!) Mike and Kevin are great. They quoted me a price that about choked me, but then I got quotes from other places and they actually were in line (in fact, a little less expensive and with a better warranty...) Transmissions are expensive. If you are going to put that much into your car, do it with the right people. I had a sneaking suspicion that my teenage son may have done the original damage. I asked Kevin or Mike if they wouldn`t mind talking to my son as a mechanic and explaining to him how to drive correctly and they were very kind and helped me out in that regard too. The happy ending to this story is that my favorite mechanic came back. After I told him the story, he listened and we talked a little bit. He called me back a couple of days later and told me that he had made some calls and that Oregon Transmission was a good decision. I knew it, but I needed him to tell me. I`ve been taking my cars to him for almost 15 years! So, there you go. My story.

Their add is misleading. It states that
Their add is misleading. It states that all of the employees are ASE certified, and non of them are, it also says they use all the latest diagnostic equipment, they dont, its broken or doesn`t work. They will use used parts and sell them as new, so watch out. As far as rebuilds go, its a coin toss, it might be a rebuild or a good used unit painted to look like a rebuild, yes they still warranty it all the same but it... view mores not what you paid for.

The guys here are probably trustworthy,
The guys here are probably trustworthy, but nice they are far from. At least not Mike, one of the main owners; he is beyond rude and takes no accountability for his mistakes. I had my first transmission problem in 2010 and was happy with the work and also got the 3 year warranty. Thank god I did, because a year later in 2011 the tranny failed again and I had to have it fixed again, which they did for free under warra... view morenty as required. Now, only 6 months later though, my transmission has failed again for the 3rd time! I now live in another state and the crap I`ve had to deal with to get it fixed is absurd. They insist on sending their own parts out of state, but do not send anything in the time they say. It`s taken almosy 2 weeks and my car is still in the shop here waiting for them. I`ve had to spend almost $700 now on a rental and they refuse to pay for it. I would not recommend this shop to anyone, their work doesn`t last and they are completely unconcerned with your situation, acting like its your fault that the thing broke again!

Honest, Courteous, Affordable
I recently had transmission problems on my car and was devestated by the costs of the repairs initially quoted by another mechanic. I called no less than a dozen other places for quotes when someone finally recommended Oregon Transmission Center. Their quote was almost half of what others were telling me. I liked them right off the bat, not only for their excellent price, but for the courteous and friendly phone m... view moreanner. They were extremely attentive, courteous, polite, professional and friendly. They did the repair in a timely manner and explained all work when I picked up my vehichle. The warranty on the work they did was also longer than any other place I had contacted. I highly highly recommend Oregon Transmission Center.
