Two days ago I drove home in a new (actually a like-new used) Hyundai Tucson, culminating many days of researching four major brands and half a dozen models. It was a relatively quick and painless negotiation period from the moment I walked onto their lot, quite by chance while driving around town looking for another Hyundai dealer. Larson Group`s follow-up email stated, "We will complete the car buying experie... view morence by providing unprecedented levels of service, convenience, and personalized attention." Having been a relatively frequent automobile buyer since 1966, across a wide spectrum of brands and dealerships around the country, I have learned that such comments are frequently made but seldom realized, which is probably the norm. But if the process at Larson Hyundai continues like my short experience with them up to this point, I think they will in fact be able to meet that lofty claim. The very capable sales associate, David S., the sales manager who contributed to the negotiation, the financial rep who closed the surprisingly streamlined documentation process, and the other personnel who contributed to satisfying my questions (I invariably have a lot of questions, some which test the accuracy and depth of what I am told about the product) all reflected a high level of professionalism and competency. It goes without saying that I hope this dealership meets their stated intent, which addresses our future relationship in completing the car buying experience. So, I`m looking forward to more of the same from Larson Hyundai. Maybe a follow-up report here in a couple of months (around July of 2013) would be beneficial to those of you who are now engaged in research like I was doing a couple of weeks ago. The Tucson, by the way, is a really good design and meets my needs quite well. Hyundai?ˆ™s offered accessories through the dealer?ˆ™s parts department are a bit pricey though.

I had a great experience at Larson Hyundai and would highly recommend them. Other dealerships I have worked with were very stressful but at Larson I actually enjoyed buying a car. I wouldn`t have believed it could be this easy if I hadn`t seen it for myself!

This was the worst experiences...
This was the worst experiences in buying a car that I ever had. We bought a 2008 Dodge Van from them. The price seemed fair and we put $3800 down and financed the rest. For the cash down payment I was given a copy of the invoice with the finance managers signature on it. We took the car home and everything was until we got a nasty phone call 90 days later saying we never paid our down payment. It was a very s... view moretressful call. Of course we paid. So I faxed the finance department at Larson Hyundai a copy of my invoice. No one ever called me back so I assumed everything was o.k. Because I paid the down payment. Then I get an e-mail several weeks later that said I owed them $3800 and that I have not returned their calls and e-mails (this is only the second time I heard from them) and that they were going to take me to court if I did not pay. He said he needed to see my receipt. So I took more of my time and drove down to the dealer and showed him the signature. He said this was not an official invoice? What? He said they could not find the $3800. I said I had paid it and was very upset. He said he believed me but would not give me a letter stating I paid the money. He said he would get back in touch with me. Then after that he would not return my phone calls or e-mails. I was told by a family member who works in the car industry not to contact them any more and to get all the paper work together and contact the fraud division at the Department of License. I did and an agent at the DOL started a case for me. The minute the DOL Fraud officer visited the dealer and showed my receipt they said that everything was fine. They said I had the proper receipt the whole time. They said that they had some bad employees and fired them. They never apologized, they just blamed it on bad employees. I ask the manager to send me a letter confirming this was over and I did not owe any money. He said he would. I never got the letter. They could not even do that for me. This whole thing was very stressful. My wife was freaking out and I had to waste hours of my time dealing with this. They basically accused of stealing and did not even say they were sorry. My advice is do not buy a car from these guys. I never would again.
