I have had two transactions with Sutton Tire this fall. I needed new tires for my Jeep Liberty. My Liberty is my work vechicle, 85,000 miles. Ron Sutton (second generation owner) asked me a series of intelligent questions concerning my driving style, commute, how long I was going to keep the vechicle and what type of ride I was looking for. He then showed me what he had in inventory, suggested that if I could wa... view moreit a week he would order me tires out of CA more suited to my driving requirements. He even gave me a 10% discount because he did not have the tires in stock. When I came back the next week to have the tires installed, Chris Sutton (Ron`s son, third generation General Manager) went as far as to ask me if I wanted the white or the black lettering showing (I went black). The attention to detail and individual service showed by the Sutton Tire team was great, better than I have ever received from the big LS.
The second transaction was buying chains two weeks ago. Kim Sutton (Ron`s sister), looked up the right size of chains for my Liberty and had one of the service guys (Toby) show me how to put them on. Toby even found me a piece of cardboard to stash in the trunk so I do not get my knees dirty if I ever have to put the chains on in an Emergency situation.
Great experience, great price, great service great family

These people will rip you off!!
We bought chains from this place during a crazy snow storm. My husband needed them to get to work which was located in the burbs were the weather was worse than the city--& chains are required! The first day he used the chains they broke! He fixed them to drive home in a blizzard and they broke again! When we called to ask them about the situation the woman was rude and hung up on my husband! When we went there to ex... view morechange them, (YES EXCHANGE-not get our money back) we still needed chains we can`t go anywhere in Portland without chains right now. These people would only give us 1/2 our money back & that was after arguing with the guy-he wasn`t going to give us any money back at all! He blamed his crappy chains on us saying we broke them by driving them on pavement! But the funny part is our neighbors bought the same chains and they broke on him too-so it isn`t us buddy! Everyone knows right now chains are required! By the end of this horrible ordeal we wouldn`t give those people our money if our lives depended on it! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE BUSINESS!
