Reviews:
I called them to get my car winched and towed. They were very quick and very nice. Was only charged half of what I could and should have been. would recommend carl`s to anyone and everyone!

Double the quoted price.
I had my pickup truck towed to Carl`s for some work to be done on the transmission. Turns out it was relatively minor, thank goodness.
The issues I have are that the mechanic never once called me back when he said he would. More importantly, when I called him, he told me that it would cost $150 for the repairs, but when I got there to pick it up, the bill was over $300, more than twice the amount quoted!!!

Though I am a AAA member, and the towing bill was paid by AAA to Carl`s Towing, they did not apply any AAA discount to the repair bill. When I raised the objection to the bill, the mechanic just said that is the bill, that?ˆ™s how much it costs and just walked away, leaving me to deal with the lady in the office to pay the bill.
She was nice to deal with however, she had me talk to one of the owners who then talked to the mechanic and convinced him to apply the AAA discount, which he did begrudgingly. That brought the bill down to a little over $280.
Now, I don?ˆ™t mind paying a reasonable rate for a good repair job, and I do understand that sometimes an estimate over the phone may not be totally accurate, but to more than double the estimate without so much as a phone call to warn me or to get my approval, that is just wrong!
