Green Car Company / Kirkland, Washington
In 1969 Art Gamblin sold his Chrysler-Plymouth dealership in southern Idaho and purchased the General Motors dealer in Enumclaw. Art had previously been a GM dealer and wanted to return to selling products he felt were superior. Then the dealership sold new Chevrolets, Buicks, Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles and Opels.? Art?ˆ™s son, Alan Gamblin, was 13 years old in 1969. He worked washing cars and sweeping floors. Since then, he has worked in every aspect of the dealership. Alan became a partner in 1985 and then purchased the dealership in 1992. Retaining the original name, he continued to build upon a legacy of customer service and treating people fairly. In retirement Art Gamblin continued his involvement within the local community, particularly with the Chamber of Commerce and fund raising activities for civic causes. He passed away in the spring of 2002. Art`s qualities and love for treating customers fairly and honestly has been passed down to his son Alan Gamblin and grandson Tyson Gamblin who continue in Art`s footsteps. ? ?

I recently moved to Bellevue, and I work at a large company in redmond:) I talked with my wife and we decided to purchase and electric bike for my commute(about 5 miles) .
So....we go to the Green Car company to buy the bike. I am expecting to pay full price..... view more..But...they tell me that I get the monies i spent on rental fees off the full price!!!
I am blown away at how nice and helpful they were. They deserve 6 stars!!!
Talk about a totally different experience! First of all, it is a really cool ... view moreplace to hang out becuase they have cool cars like Smart cars, electric cars and electric bikes. The had a clean homey area for me to wait and free wireless. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The mechanic actually came out and talked to me, brought me into the shop and showed me what was going on with my car. He did not talk down to me, he actually explained everything very well.
In the end, I know I saved hundreds on my suspension repair. I boughtr a club card so get free oil changes for the year. I am sold on this company and their service. The funny thing is that they used to be a volvo repair shop before they were the Green car company so they have all of the volvo computers and tools. I saw at least 5 other volvos their getting serviced so I know I must have stumbled upon a great volvo dealer alternative.
let me educate you about peak oil in case you have not heard about it: (taken from Life After the Oil Crash)
""Oil will not just ""run out"" because all oil production follows a bell curve. This is true whether we`re talking about an individual field, a country, or on the planet as a whole.
Oil is increasingly plentiful on the upslope of the bell curve, increasingly scarce and expensive on the down slope. The peak of the curve coincides with the point at which the endowment of oil has been 50 percent depleted. Once the peak is passed, oil production begins to go down while cost begins to go up.
In practical and considerably oversimplified terms, this means that if 2005 was the year of global Peak Oil, worldwide oil production in the year 2030 will be the same as it was in 1980. However, the world?ˆ™s population in 2030 will be both much larger (approximately twice) and much more industrialized (oil-dependent) than it was in 1980. Consequently, worldwide demand for oil will outpace worldwide production of oil by a significant margin. As a result, the price will skyrocket, oil dependant economies will crumble, and resource wars will explode.
The issue is not one of ""running out"" so much as it is not having enough to keep our economy running. In this regard, the ramifications of Peak Oil for our civilization are similar to the ramifications of dehydration for the human body. The human body is 70 percent water. The body of a 200 pound man thus holds 140 pounds of water. Because water is so crucial to everything the human body does, the man doesn`t need to lose all 140 pounds of water weight before collapsing due to dehydration. A loss of as little as 10-15 pounds of water may be enough to kill him.
In a similar sense, an oil based economy such as ours doesn`t need to deplete its entire reserve of oil before it begins to collapse. A shortfall between demand and supply as little as 10 to 15 percent is enough to wholly shatter an oil-dependent economy and reduce its citizenry to poverty.
Ultimately, the energy-intensive industrial age may be little more than a blip in the course of human history:
Civilization as we know it is coming to an end soon. This is not the wacky proclamation of a doomsday cult, apocalypse bible prophecy sect, or conspiracy theory society. Rather, it is the scientific conclusion of the best paid, most widely-respected geologists, physicists, bankers, and investors in the world. These are rational, professional, conservative individuals who are absolutely terrified by a phenomenon known as global ""Peak Oil.""
I could go on and on. Wake up america!
