Apparently moms don`t get 5 star service

I wanted to like this place as much as everyone else who had been here(when I made the appointment with them, they had nothing but 5 start reviews). But honestly, if I could give this place negative stars, I would. I brought my car in to get my timing belt replaced--I told them what needed to be done. So I bring my car in when they tell me to, and the place looks like someone robbed them the night before. Par... view morets thrown sloppily on shelves, placed probably hasn`t been cleaned in a good year or so. I leave, and hear nothing back from them, all day. Finally I called about 10 minutes before closing and asked them what was going on with my car. The guy told me that yes, in fact i DID need my belt replaced. Obviously, that is why it was brought in in the first place... He also told me that even though my car had been there since 7am, they hadn`t worked on it at all. Great... They also said they didn`t have enough time to work on it the next day, so I would have to wait a few days to pick up my car. Well I am a mother who works full-time, so that isn`t gonna work. So I tell them I will be picking up my car in the morning and bringing it back when they have time to work on it. Go to pick it up with my 5month old daughter, and the guy is sitting on the phone for 20 minutes. Doesn`t even make eye contact with me. Finally he gets off the phone, no apology, and pulls out his mess of papers to pencil me in. All I can do it stare at the YELP plaque they have proudly hanging on the wall thinking about how they didn`t deserve it. The guy finally hands me my key and I explain to him that my car is no where outside and I didn`t see it in the bay. So he asks the mechanic where it is and he replies""up on the hill by the church"". The guys tells me where to go fetch my car and looks at my baby saying he will watch her. Umm...no. Did I mention it was 30 degrees outside? Needless to say I trekked all the way out to Federal Way where a friend suggested. They charged me $150 less than My Mechanic quoted, had wonderful customer service, and the place was extremely clean! Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to My Mechanic, so they can get back to their 5 star service. Although I will never be one to find out if they do or not.

Good or Bad? Not sure anymore

I`ve been going to My Mechanic for a number of years - perhaps as long as 8 or 9 years. Never had a problem until now. The problem began back in July of 2010 and STILL IS NOT FIXED. A part of my brake system was bent by a mechanic on accident. This was about 7 months ago. Since then I have called about once a month to get the part replaced. They admitted it was their responsibility and promised to fix the problem... view more. One thing after another - personnel issues, once the part was in, then it wasn`t. Promises made and broken. For the past 7 or so months the spindle on my brakes has been bent, wreaking havoc with my front end alignment? Could my brakes/car be compromised after so long with this bent spindle? Can permanent damage be caused by this on-on-on going problem? Who knows?? I keep getting the runaround and I am NOT happy. The receptionist does not remember conversations - or has a selective memory. I`m not giving up on them yet - Dave`s a fantastic mechanic. And has treated me really well for years - except for the past 7 or so month. Not sure what to do. Can`t afford to have this work done anyplace else. Hope this situation doesn`t kill me. A BBB complaint will be my next stop.

DAVE IS A GIRL`S BEST FRIEND...

Forget diamonds. Dave and the guys at My Mechanic are true gems. I don`t know a thing about cars but I spend lot of time in mine so I make sure to take care of it. Unfortunately I can`t always afford to get to everything right away. That`s why I take it to Dave. Expert, HONEST, reasonable auto repair shop!!

FINALLY I found an expert, HONEST, nice auto shop, run by David DeAngelo!!! This place is great,
my Mom and sister and their friends have been going to him and I took a car there for a buyer inspection
and to have some work done, VERY reasonable charges and it`s so obvious they care about
their customers. I could not rate them any higher! 110 on a scale of 1 to 100 !!!!!
