I`ve used this shop in the pas...
I`ve used this shop in the past with ok results, but now the owner is running the shop himself and its great! If you are having issues with your vechiles you should take it to Ken. He is a Double Certified Master tech and teaches automotive at Renton Techincal College. He really knows cars and will help you get yours running great!

Don`t waste your time or money!
I took my truck into autopro to get it diagnosed. It had a short somewhere and the short was preventing it from starting. I took it in to see exactly what was wrong with it.
I picked autopro because it was with in my 5 miles of free towing from AAA. I should`ve just sent it to my buddies shop in the first place but it was about 18 miles from my house.
Anyways, I took it in and they said I needed a new ignitio... view moren switch, starter, solenoid, & I had a short somewhere. They quoted me $650 for all of the work.
I just happened to have replaced my starter and solenoid about 5 days earlier AND had it tested 2 days prior to taking it in. So I knew it was perfectly fine. After paying the $114 diagnostics fee I had it towed to my buddies work.
The ignition switch, the starter & the solenoid were perfectly fine. I had a short that needed to be fixed. It cost me $350 to fix the short at bucky`s brake & muffler off pacific hwy.
Do NOT use Auto-pro. I highly recommend Bucky`s brake and muffler off of pacific highway. The place doesn`t have a single bad review and the manager Wally will work with YOUR budget and they`re honest!

DONT TRUST AUTOPRO!!!
We took our car in for a break job, oil change, and five fluid change. The original numbers they gave us were around $650, but an hour later they quoted us $2,164. Within a couple of weeks, the oil started leaking to the point that the red light came on saying low oil pressure and our car was smoking! Luckily we made it into another shop where they told us that oil was leaking every where and the gasket on the filter... view more was faulty. They also said the fuel filter clip was evidently broken and had been replaced with wire instead of bolts!! They also used the cheapest rotors you can get. I will never bring my car back to them agian!!

Auto Pro is Honest
bfranks, really? All we did to your car was 2 02 sensors and recomend that you do a tune up.
Miss Franks decided that she did not want a tune up so her car will continue to fail emissions.
And to the guy that can not tell anyone who he is please do tell.

All I needed was to pass emissions
My car was running fine but didn`t pass emissions because of a computer error. It did need an oil change, and some other maintenance was due. It was explained to them that finances were tight, but I needed to pass emissions to get my tabs. They quoted me $225 to replace the oxygen sensor. The next thing I heard was that it was going to cost me $800. After a huge tantrum, my bill was reduced to $450. They said t... view morehat a part had corroded and that when they tried to remove it, it broke off, so that they had to remove the entire exhaust system and weld something back on. Ironically, I still didn`t pass emissions and the check engine light came back on moments after I left the lot. They made like they had some responsibility to repair the issue and that they couldn`t sign off on the emissions waiver if they hadn`t followed certain protocol, when actually, all I had to spend was $150, which could have been the diagnostic test and a few simple adjustments. They knew I was coming, but didn`t have the parts needed, the guy that was supposed to work on it wasn`t there and the owner backed up his employees work and bill. My boyfriend spoke with them and they told him that they would credit us for the diagnostic work, which they did after charging me for another hour of labor. Original repairs were quoted at $225, but I was charged $278. Apparently they haven`t worked on a Subaru Outback before.

Never use AutoPro in Renton
Too many bad experiences. I sold a used vehicle recommending the buyer contact AutoPro for an inspection as they had done all my work for 15 years. Buyer purchased without an inspection and within 2 weeks her son ""blew"" the transmission"", which was the second vehicle in which he blew the transmission in less then a year. Buyer took the vehicle to AutoPro and was told that ""I was a very unethical person for sel... view moreling a lemon and that GOD would punish me.
The last time I took a vehicle to AutoPro they told me I needed many rods replaced at a cost of $2600+. I contacted them the day it was to be completed and they informed me that after replacing the necessary rods, I needed a new engine. I don`t know much about vehicles, but my son talked to the manager for about 2 minutes, and they agreed to replace my engine at no cost, but I still had to pay the $2,600 for the rods. My vehicle which use to get approximately 25 MPG, now gets 10 MPG if I`m lucky and has never been the same since.
My new mechanic worked for AutoPro for 2 weeks and resigned as they were requiring him to lie to customers about unnecessary work!
Never use AutoPro!

Either they are incompetent or or dishonest...I`d say both!
Took my car in because it was havng a small problem. Expected to have it back within the week. After two weeks and almost $1000 in recommeded new parts and labor, (which they tell me fixed the problem) I get the car back and no change in the problem...its still there. Even worse, now the car is making bad noises it didn`t make before. I do some research and figure out the problem myself. I spend $25 in parts and put ... view morethem in myself and problem fixed. I will never bring my car near that place again!

Not recommended!
They talk a good friendly line but are either inept or cheats...not sure which.
I took my car in for an oil leak, 5 visits and over $4000 in repairs, (some not related) the oil leak remains! BUT NOW THEY SAY THEY KNOW WHERE THE LEAK IS!
Not on my dollar!

AUTO PRO DEVESTATED OUR CAR AND TO DATE DID NOTHING ABOUT
The oil pump went out on our Ford Explorer while driving on I-5. Since I did not know the extent of damage done to the engine due to lack of oil, I decided to replace the engine. I contacted Auto Pro through an ad on the internet and recieved a estimate for a rebuilt engine. This extimate was for $3,150.00 and 7 days to complete the work. 5 weeks and $4,741.50 the car was supposedly finished. I had driven the ca... view morer with no problems up until the minute the oil pump had gone out. I was told by Auto Pro that I needed a new radiator and power steering pump. When I asked why I needed these new parts when they worked fine prior to them working on the vehicle . I was told prove it. I asked for all the old parts, out of all the parts I received only 4. If I wanted the old power steering unit back, I would have to buy it back from Auto Pro. Less than a week after picking up the car, I was laying in the snow at Snoqualmie Pass trying to figure why our explorer would not start (by the way it was Christmas Eve). After having the car towed, I ended paying a mechanic $175.00 to tighten a ground wire that had not been tightened by Auto Pro. Now the car surges at an idle, the guages flucatuate wildly anytime they want. When starting the vehicle the battery draws down like it has no power. It was check and no problems were found. The radio changes stations without touching the dial. The car did none of this until Auto Pro ""fixed"" it. Where is Ken Wright, the owner? With all the problems we had and all the requests to have Ken Wright call me in 7 months not one call or e-mail. He has not been forthcoming with AAA about our complaint we filed. I wrote a letter to the Attorney General about this only to be told that none of their calls or letters to Auto Pro had been answered so there was nothing that they could do. In reading the other reviews my story seems to fit a pattern. My sincere hope is that enough people will band together and put a end to this problem.

BEWARE
Bought a new engine (well they told me the engine had 20,000- 30,000 miles or under), this makes me wonder with looking at the other review on here. I replaced the engine. They didn`t do some work, under the engine, that should have been done at the same time. They told me that they would have to repull my engine and then charge me another 13 hours of labor. I called the dealership and they told me 9-10 HRS. They are... view more rude and will not even just charge cost for the labor! What a joke. BEWARE
Oh yeah, good luck getting a phone call back!
