We`ve been going to the Quik Stop for
We`ve been going to the Quik Stop for years and wouldn`t dream of letting anyone else touch our cars. Kevin Bennett is honest, forthcoming, does what he says his crew is going to do, and gives a fair price for the work done. AND, they get it done in a timely manner, particularly if you tell them when you need it. Greg Gibson is our main mechanic, but all of them know their stuff. You`re in good hands at the Quik Sto... view morep!

Quick Stop Saved Me- BIG TIME !!
Gotta start by saying bryangoss Feb 17 2011 is totally off base about QUICK STOP. Everyone is 4 and 5 stars and he gives them one? Hmm...

Here is my story. It is long but it is the details that tell how exceptional this place is.
Short version: Canadian, in Seattle, NO brakes, Saturday, stuck and in deep trouble, mechanic did great job, went WAY beyond to fix my car, price was less than half of wha... view moret I expected as he spent the whole day on my car. These guys deserve a 10 STAR for what they did for me. Read the details for the full story.

Got off the plane after a 6 week holiday in Florida. I had parked my car at Public Storage and picked it up at 5pm on a Friday. It took me a couple of hours to realize that I had NO BRAKES, fluid leaking all over. So, I`m looking online for a shop that is open Saturday, with a mechanic on duty and has time to fit me in. Find Quick Stop just a mile away, so big bonus. Fill up with brake fluid, drive very slowly to the shop arriving at opening.
SO, here I am, from Canada, I have a clunker van with no brakes that HAS TO get me back home in the next couple of days, and it is an unscheduled appointment on a Saturday. I`m expecting the worse and at their mercy`.

They say they will have a look and my girlfriend and I go for a nice breakfast across at Denny`s. Come back in a half hour and the mechanic has discovered the problem is a brake line issue where the part has rusted. If he can loosen the lines from the part, then it is just replacing the part (if they can find one) and we`re good. Otherwise, he as to cut the lines and reattach connectors. A multiple hour job. I return in another half hour to find the mechanic has managed to get the part off and is at NAPA seeing if they have one.
** Here is why I would give these guys 10 STARS if I could. ** No part at NAPA, dealership is closed, SO the mechanic heads to a wrecker to get me my part !! I have never heard of such service! The shop doesn`t have an account so the mechanic pays with his own cash. By this time I`m in the waiting room (great selection of magazines, comfy chairs, by the way) and it is a couple hours before he`s back, then another hour before the car is ready.
So, finally I am ready to go at 3pm and VERY grateful it is fixed and now I`m worried about the cost. When I heard the cost I just about hit the floor. Only $150 plus the $50 part! The guy spent the whole day getting my car on the road! Can`t remember his name (Garry? Gordon?) but he deserves a medal, and he sure did his Good Deed for the Day (maybe month or year). I recommend them to all my friends in Seattle. Worth the drive to the SeaTac area.
PS Van brakes worked perfectly, even in the hills of Seattle downtown and all the way home.

Quik Stop Auto
Useless mechanic shop full of incompetent employees. Every day for a week I hear some variation of `should be done today` or `it`ll be done tomorrow` only to find out that they haven`t done anything to it. It`s overpriced, and they will try to screw you over any way they can. I only went there as the tow truck driver recommended it because there was a thrifty rent-a-car next door. Which they have an agreement t... view moreo offer discounted cars to people getting there vehicle serviced. Only to find out that their discounted rate is over $60 a day plus tax. Which adds up quick when the mechanic delays the service every day for a week. My advice, take your car somewhere else. I give 1 star rating only because that`s as low of a rating I can give.

Great Experience for an emergency repair
My daughter called me. Her car had overheated on the way to a Conference at the Doubletree. I live in California so I searched for a nearby shop. These guys quickly found the problem, loss of coolant due to a bad hose. They had her out in less than an hour for a very reasonable cost. I was Grateful and would highly recommend them.

Convenient alternative for airport employees
This place is great. They do factory maintenance, diagnose, oil change to engine swaps and everything in between. A convenient shuttle to the airport if you`re going on a a trip or heading to work.

Thanks for all your help !!!
When our truck broke down on I-5, we had it towed to this shop. What a great find. They were so busy, yet they worked us in and had us back on the road in no time. The staff were great, they explained what had happened, what needed to be done, and got it done !!!I wish we lived closer. I would have no trouble referring people to the shop. Thanks again Kevin.

Helpful and Honest!
They are always helpful and very informative.
I am a girl who does not know about auto parts and services. My car dealer told me that the cost for maintenace for my car would be more then $250. I called Quik Stop Auto Svc to seek some help. The cost was less than $100 and advised me what I really need to do with my car right there on the phone. SUPER!!
I recomend everyone to use this place. Thank you, Bob!
