I am a employee of transmission outlet, I have worked here since July 2010 and I have to say that it is by far the best job I have had. It is rare to find a shop that takes such pride in his work. Steve, the owner has been rebuilding transmissions for the past 35 years, and knows his stuff! Steve offers a 2 year Unlimited mile warranty. If anyone has a problem, he works well with them to get the problem resolved.... view more I would refer anybody to come here to get their transmissions worked on, the workmanship and experience is what sets this shop apart. The atmosphere in the shop is all about quality. Steve does not employ hack mechanics, all the work done here is top notch.

Our first experience says so much for honesty. I took steve and crew a ford ranger that was`nt shifting correctly. He told me that he would pull it and check it over. He called me the next day and told me that it looked if the transmission had been overhauled recently and that all he found was a clip had been overlooked when the other transmission shop had done the repairs. The bill was a fraction of what I had expe... view morected. He could have really took advantage because I had no idea that it had been in. Thanks for the honesty, it is really a breath of fresh air. Wish I could rate it lower than one star

My brand new transmission is junk. I had it replaced 1000 miles ago and went to the check up just like they told me to. They told me the transmission was great and gave me the go-ahead to drive 1000 miles. Within 300 miles the truck chugged really hard and lost power. The next day I woke up to a huge puddle of transmission fluid underneath, and more dripping out. The gauge showed that it had been over-filled. N... view moreow, a new mechanic is telling me that I shouldn`t plan on any 1000 mile trips because the transmission will probably leave me stranded. I`m an idiot for having work done at a place that doesn`t offer a warrantee, but whatever happened to service you can count on. I`ll probably have to get another transmission since this one is junk.
