BEST AUTO SHOP IN TOWN!! I bought myself a new 2012 Optima and two days after someone nicked my fromt passenger bumper. Broadway Body and Paint repaired it fast, making it look like it never had happened. Thank you Broadway Body and Paint for your work, I will recommend anyone to come and do business at your location.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! I truly mean this from the bottom of my heart. My fiance was in a car accident a few months back. We took our car here to get all the body work done. It was a disaster. First, they had our car for about 4 weeks, longer than was expected. Second, our insurance agent called and said, ""uh, are you going to go get your car?"" We had no idea it was ready. No call. Nothing. Third, when we got... view more the car, there were a number of items that were still not fixed, but we were not informed of this when we picked it up. Unknowingly, we drove away with no covering for one of the fog lights. An error message on our dash popped up saying something was wrong with our headlight, and the whole left side of the car was not working (i.e. I could not roll the window down or adjust the side mirror). We called them and they said, ""oh uh yeah. The fog light cover is on order."" Well, thanks for telling us that when we picked the car up!!!! After 3 weeks of dealing with them to get us back into the shop to finish up the rest of the stuff, they still could not fix a few things and told us to go to Audi. They did say they would cover the charges at Audi for us. When Audi was done with their inspection, they asked us to come see something. Broadway Auto Body had GLUED our headlight back in. Audi headlights adjust when you are on an incline or decline. You cannot GLUE an adjustable headlight back into place. Our insurance company basically paid for Broadway to fix our car, and they did not follow through. And the insurance company doesn`t care about the poor quality of service you get. They pay the shop when the shop notifies them of completed service. Broadway lied and obviously told them the car was finished because they were paid. We already reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I just don`t see how you can run a business like they do. It was such terrible service. We were left disapointed and angry. WE WILL NOT TAKE OUR CAR BACK there. Absolutely NOT ever again. I am not even going to give them a chance to redeem themselves. I`ll just take it down the road, as there are other auto body shops close by. And we still feel they owe us money for the service that has not been completed. Negative 10 stars on this one.

Work on you customer service and communication.
They did a good job repairing my car. However they said it would only take 3 days to fix my car. It took 9 days. Meanwhile I had to pay out of pocket for a rental car for an extra week. I wish they would have been up front with me. I had to pay 3 times as much for the rental car. My insurance gave them the estimated cost to repair the car. It wasn`t until 5 days later they decided that they needed more money becaus... view moree they found more damage. The insurance guys told me that he saw the car and said it should be fixed by the end of the day. The car shop took 4 more days to fix it. They never called me to tell me the status of my car. I had to call them. Bad communicators! I will not go back and I will not reccomend them.

The Worst of the Worst
This Shop not only steals from their customers but the owner steals from his employees. Beware if you take your car there. You will be lied to by the owner and his office staff. He blames everything on everyone else when in fact Sam is the theif behind the scenes. Your car will not be fixed right. You will be double billed. When in fact Sam has cashed the checks.

We took our car into broadway auto to be repaired and given a quote. It took over a month for a simple fix that was going to take a week. We were over billed by 50 percent of the estimate. Beware of double-billing
What`s $3,300?

Meh, pocket change.

At least that`s what Broadway Body and Paint seemed to think when they double-billed me almost $3,300 -- and then wouldn`t take the time to look into their books to find and fix their error.

At least I HOPE it was an error...

Funny, though -- they charged me the $3,300 even AFTER they had already cashed an insurance check for the full payment for the s... view moreame repairs.

Anyway, I discovered the error a month later when I called the insurance company, and they said the claim had long been paid. I figured Broadway Body and Paint would fix the error immediately, and, I dunno, maybe apologize?

Instead, they insisted that I call my bank and the insurance company and get check numbers and dates before they would issue a refund. (Hey, it`s a good thing it`s so much fun to talk to bankers and insurers!)

When I told Broadway Body and Paint that I`m a busy single parent and didn`t have time for this type of research, they insisted that it would be harder for them to look into their OWN accounting and find their error. I had to prove it myself.

Again, hmmm... Would they take the time to notice if *I* had been the one who came out $3,300 ahead? I`m thinking probably. But they didn`t seem to think my $3,300 was worth a little research on their part. Wow!

Given no other choice, I did the research (argh) and called them back with the information they said they needed. Since it was their error I was fixing, I also said that I`d appreciate a little token of thanks for my time -- a tank of gas, perhaps, or a few car washes. My time is worth a lot more than that -- and what`s $20 when you have just almost taken $3,300?

But instead of a token ""sorry,"" they mailed me a check with no goodies, and not a single word of apology.

Maybe I`m old-school, but if I double-billed someone $3,300, I`d be on my knees asking for their continued business.

But I guess if you`re Broadway Body and paint, you don`t need it.

[NOTE: The reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is that, while the customer billing service I got sucked, the initial customer service was good, and the repair was actually well done. ... Just not TWICE as well done.]

I`ve done the research....

I had a desperate need for AUTOBODY repair for the first time ever and didn?t know where to begin. When I need computer repairs I RESEARCH which includes reading REVIEWS, asking geeks, PHONE interviewing lots of people/shops/services. I?ve probably phone interviewed, meet or utilized every Google listings for computer/repair/portland/oregon twice. But, for car stuff I?m completely out of my depth.

I didn?t... view more trust what I was reading so I called an experienced auto parts guy I respect and trust, my mechanic and a local brake shop I know has integrity --- ODDLY, without any prompting, they recommended Broadway Body & Paint [BB&P]. It absolutely got my attention because these men didn?t know each other, didn?t work in the same part of Portland and had no incentive to recommend them. I still did my usual ?phone interviewing? several places. Finally, I called BB&P and did the best interviewing I could. Quickly I became convinced Broadway Body & Paint had the integrity and ability to do the best repairs possible.

These guys were a breath of fresh air compared to some others posing as specialist. Great communication, smart, talented, quick turnaround, reasonable and highly capable. This business has all the experience, pride and track record anyone wants when they are paying so much and expecting much in return. So relax - they are the best choice I found hands down and the results were far better than I would have expected. My car looks better than it did even before the accident happened!
