WASTE of time.
My first ""1 Star"" rating. Well deserved I`d say. Time is valuable. Mine, yours, every ones time means something to them. When its wasted all I want to do is scream. I was in an accident and decided to go to this auto shop because the paying insurance company recommended it. It is close to my work and therefor should have been a cinch to get my repairs done. I brought my car in last friday for an estimate. Scheduled... view more to drop it off Monday morning and pick it up after hours tuesday as I have class and couldn`t make it before 5pm. I was assured that my car would be in their lot and i could drop off my rental and take mine. No one called me to say there had been a change of plans. So I drove from the Eastside, all the way to Ballard after my night class to come get a car that WAS NOT THERE! I called and left an irritated message thinking someone had forgotten to put my car out in the lot to be picked up. This morning, I showed up before their doors were open to wait for them. When I finally got to talk to someone, I asked if my car was finished. No it was not. We can have it done by EOD... No dice. I told them I wanted my car right now. Right now.... I get it... ZERO work had been done to it, despite what I had JUST BEEN told ""one of the parts is being painted"". That was a lie. The time frame was a lie. I suggest that you NOT go to an auto repair shop that LIES to you.

HORRIBLE
It pains me to even give Collision Specialties one star. I have never had such horrible customer service. The owner and management were unprofessional, did not come to the phone when I was on hold, did not return phone calls, did not communicate why things were taking weeks longer then they had promised, and after all that they were extremely rude.

My car was expected to be done in 3-4 days. Eleven days, 5 ho... view moreurs in their lobby, 16 phone calls, and 2 hours on hold later, I received my car. The new bumber they put on did not fit my car and was painted an entirely different color. When I had to take it back in to be re-fixed they said they would pay for my rental car and it would be done the next day. Four days and about 18 phone calls later I received my car (they still did not put the stock bumper on the car).

At this point I was just happy to not have to deal with these people so I dealt with the bumper. Two months later I received a letter from Hertz stating that Collision Specialties is not paying their invoice and that if they do not pay it then I will be held responsible for the invoice amount.

I will be reporting Collision Specialties to the Better Business Bureau.

Bad, bad service
Service is terrible. They missed every date for readiness, lost parts, lied, and didn`t return phone calls -saying they never got them. The owner acted put-out that the work had to be done. I would never suggest anyone go there.

Worst Experience of My Life
This place is seriously more trouble than it`s worth. I took my car in to get a replacement mirror and casing on Oct 3 and they STILL haven`t even started working on it. When I brought it in they didn`t have me on file even though I called almost a week in advance to set an appointment. There were problems with insurance and estimates and now they`re still waiting for authorization even though I`ve told them twice th... view moreat I have received payment and have told them to start working on it. Every person I`ve talked to over the phone has not seemed to know what they were doing and have been entirely unhelpful. The estimate I received from an outside source claims that the entire repair process should only take three hours, and yet I have been without my car for going on 21 days. An entire engine rebuild would take less time! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

A nightmare
Not only did the work take more than a week longer to complete than promised, but the customer service was downright horrible. Dishonest. Lost paperwork and lied about it. Promised me it would be finished on a Thursday, but it wasn`t completed until the NEXT Friday. The owner yelled at me and walked out of the room, telling me he was too busy. We had to pay for extra rental car days b/c of this sloppy outfit.
