AVOID THIS PLACE! I made the hour and a half drive to Dave`s, only to find the doors locked, at 11:30am. A call to their phone number uncovered the fact that no one would be there for an hour. An hour turned into an hour and a half. We came to terms on a vehicle and agreed on a delivery date. The sales contract indicated 3 minor items that would be repaired. During the time between paying for the vehicle an... view mored delivery, they were supposed to take care of those 3 items but 2 of them became major headaches. One of the two items was taken care of (although very poorly) just in the nick of time. The final item was never fully addressed and I chased them around and around over this, until they finally stopped returning my calls. The bottom line is that they agreed IN WRITING on the sales contract, to take care of this. Their effort to correct the problem was inadequate, and even though I was assured that the problem was resolved, before making the drive to pick up the vehicle, I knew that it wasn`t, by the time I was a few miles away from the shop. At that time, I couldn`t even drive back to the shop because they locked up and left for the day, before I even hit the road. I called the first thing the following morning and the run-around began. It was like pulling teeth to get them to do anything. Their efforts to help me diagnose the problem were weak and their subsequent attempts to correct the problem were non existent. One of the things that was brought up repeatedly was THEIR cost. They were overly concerned about spending $35 for a diagnosis but they didn`t care in the least that MY time and money were being wasted. I eventually pried the cost of diagnosis from them but once the report came in, they balked at making the actual repair and they wanted to to make the repair with used parts, which wouldn`t guarantee that the problem was resolved. They could have spent $200 on this and it would have been done. CORRECTLY. Instead, they decided that they would rather give me the run around and then, eventually stop returning my calls. My vehicle hasn`t been a problem since I took control of the issue but the service I received from Dave`s Auto Sales was less than sub par. If given the opportunity to do this again, I WOULD NOT. Dave`s Auto Sales has demonstrated to me, just exactly why used car salesmen get such a bad rap. It`s all about making the sale and nothing about follow-up, regardless of what they have agreed to in writing.
