Kerns Kares for Kustomers.I wanted to share my experience with the public. I`ve had some awful expericenes when it come to getting my car repaired. It seems to me that the minute a female walk into a car shop t, there is a sticker on her forehead that says ignorant, vulnerable, take advantage of me!!!!! I went to John the Muffler man to get an estimate for some under body work on my daughters VW. He quoted me a pr... view moreice of approx.$270.00. A mechanic suggested I go to Kerns and speak to a mechanic name Boo. Went to see Mr. Boo and was pleasantly suprised to find good service, great price and I was treated with respect,me and my $$$$$. The total price I paid for the work @ Kern`s was $79.00. They didn`t do anything extra, no extra parts, not extra fees, just good ole customer satisfaction. I highly recommed Kern`s Muffler Shop. You will leave with a sense of peace knowing you haven`t been taken advantage of! I appreciate the excellent service I received and the GOOD price. Very affordable and trustworthy

I took my car here to have the muffler repaired after a bad experience at the Car-X on Port Washington Rd. a year or two ago, and I was very happy with their service and cost. They could`ve sold me the more expensive piece that Car-X had told me I needed and I would have bought it, but instead they jacked the car up and showed me what was wrong with it (once I saw it I could clearly see it was the flex pipe that nee... view moreded to be replaced and not the year-old (perfectly fine) engine pipe that Car-X had tried to tell me), and gave me a fair price to fix it. When I had another problem with a different part of my muffler (thanks to Car-X`s shoddy work when they put in a whole new exhaust system - all new muffler, new pipes, etc. a couple years ago), they were able to fix it within an hour after I showed up there and for less than $50. I love this place, and as long as I live near enough to drive there, I will forever take any muffler problem I have here.
