never again.
I took my classic car to this buisness to have quarter panels, a door skin and paint replaced. The owner was hard to talk to. He seemed like i was wasting his time. we agreed on a price and i provided him with all the sheet metal needed. He began working on it and blew through the first deposit in no time. Owner called me and said he needed more money. I gave him more. He blew through it in a few weeks. He exceeded t... view morehe agreed amount and was half done. I was not happy but i kept providing more money until job was done. When he finished it and i went to pick it up, the hood and trunk fit terribly and the bottoms of the doors stuck out from the body 3/16 of an inch. i was now 8,000 over his original verbal quote and i told him to get the doors to pull in. 45 min later it was done and he said that i was picky and he should have charged me extra for his time. He had my bumpers straightened and rechomed. I took the car home and fixed the hood and trunk. The big overexpense went into frivelis body work like bondoing up and sanding smooth the seam from the door skin and door shell!!!!!!really!!!!! which now have begun to crack. when the bumpers were done he called me. The rear was great but the front had a 1/8 by 7 inch long scratch where the plate went. Owner told me to put clear nail polish over it. i refused and he sent it out again. i received it and took it home to put it on the car. it didn`t fit at all. it wasn`t bent on the jig right. i called the owner and he told me to shim the radiator core. i said it shouldn`t have to be. He told me to bring in the car and bumper. I dropped off both and in 2 days he called me. i went in and looked the job......beyond terrible . He said it took 3 men and a body puller but he got it on. He then charged me 200.00 i told him to get the chrome company in to see the bumper fit. The rep. admitted it was a bad jig job and took the bumper back. Owner refused to give refund of the 200.00 when i suggested that that chrome company cover the charges the owner told me that he valued the chrome company more than me and didn`t want to ruen his relationship with them. 3 months later and continuous calles later i received my bumper. it looked and fit well. i will never go back to this company. If you do, get the quote in writing and stay on your game. He will charge for everything. after all said and done i was about 8 to 10 thousands over budget. I have now since done my own work. Less expensive and a lot less headache.
