I had my dash cluster go out on my van. I looked up how to repair it on YouTube and proceeded to remove it from the vehicle. What needed to be done was the back connectors needed to be sodded. So I took it to Firestone to ask them if they could sodder it for me. But ,they got an attitude with me and said that they would`ve never wasted their time and just replaced it with a new one.Keep in mind that I`ve been a ... view morelong-term customer spending hundreds of dollars.
Between them charging $94 dollars an hour and a brand-new piece costing about $800, I saved myself over $1000.
I also had a guy at a parts place tell me not to even try. Well guess what? I did and I successfully repaired it. It`s been about a year now and is still working great.

I put new brakes on with a new caliper and I`m getting a hot brakes smell.
I called to make an appointment with Firestone and found them extremely unhelpful. I told them exactly what was going on and they could even give me an ideal. They just proceeded to tell me how dangerous it is if your brakes fail and I needed to have them looked at. They are thinking $$$
I think what when I call a mechanic shop that they should be would give me an ideal of what`s going on!!
So now I have an appointment with Fleet Farm who only charges $69 dollars an hour. However, I called to make an appointment with them and a woman answered. When I told her what was going on, right away I got an answer without even asking! No offense against women I am a woman but if a woman can tell me what`s going on as soon as I tell them what`s going on with my brakes, than the mechanics of Firestone sure as hell should be able to.
