A repeat customer in the future

My wife and I bought a vehicle from Walter in Oct 2010. I had spoken with quite a few dealers in and out of the area about 3/4 tons trucks, and this was by far and away the best experience, in fact, the best of my car/truck purchasing. We sat one evening well past closing and talked about different options/makes, getting to know what we really wanted in the vehicle, and his opinions between the different brands/typ... view morees/styles and so fourth. No pressure to do anything, and once we knew what we wanted, if they didn`t have it, he would find it.... We left with no pressure/pitch to buy from him, but with lots of info and test drove all three, and when we were ready to buy, come on back. That`s what we did.

Doing Business with Walter Werness

I have recently bought a vehicle from Walter. I like to change vehicles every few years and I must say this time it was a buying experience like no other. I`ve never dealt with a salesman with such integrity and such a human component to them. Walter is more concerned that you leave a satisfied customer than he does with making a sale. You`ll never get the typical sales pitch of why you should buy from him or why... view more you should purchase the vehicle you`re test driving. Just walk into his office and read the testimonials posted on the wall. What other dealer fills up the back of a vehicle with toys and candy for the kids of a family that`s going through tough times during Christmas? I`m looking forward to my next purchase. There won`t be internet searches any longer, I`ll be going straight to Wally`s Wholesale for a one stop shop from here on out!

My husband and I rented an apartment from Walter. I was suprised on the upkeep of the apartment, and the building itself. After viewing many apartments in the area Walater`s apartment by far where the nicest we had seem. We did end up renting from Walter, we rented from him for over two years. As a renter you must understand that when you move in an apartment or a house the fact is your renting. So any damages that are done are the tenents responsiblity. However if you leave the apartment in the condidtion it was in when you moved in then, you are due your security deposit back. Walter Thanks again! You made our stay in Virginia a pleasent stay. What an unbelievably good experience. owner walter werness

I have bought over 10 vehicles in my life and I have never met a more honest person that tries to make everything as good as a dealership should make it. The first truck I bought was a 3 year old f-250 i bought from Wallys Wholesale in 2004. That truck I drove for 2 years before I had to do anything other than change the oil. I figured that I would go back to the same place for my second vehicle. This time I needed ... view morea car for my daughter. The long and short of it was that I was so impressed with the owner that I let him look for the right car for my daughter. We spelled out the paramiters and price 2 weeks later after letting us do our own mechanics check, which came back withut any issues, we drove out in a 04 camry that was $1400 less than the next closest vehicle within 300 miles that I could find on the internet. I found out that this guy opened his own shop just so he could guarrantee that the work was being done right on his own inventory. I gotta say eveything about Wallys Wholesale and Walter Werness, Julie and his entire staff smelled of just being straight forward honest people and that appears to be harder and harder to find.

We rented from Walter Werness for a year. We had to move, because of job relocation. We called to inquire about our security deposit, 2 months after we had moved and Walter stated we owed him money, because of so-called damages to the apartment. The only thing that was damaged was the stove top, which he knew about. He quoted a price and I was told by the maintenace guy, that the part had been ordered and would a... view morerrive in 2 weeks. When we spoke with Walter, he said we owed him $250 more for damages. He accused us of stealing door knobs and the plastic covers for light sockets. He also stated that the apartment was dirty. I cleaned the apartment the weekend before we moved and the missing covers were not there when we moved in. When we moved in the place was disaster. There was cat hair in clumps everywhere, not to mention cat toys under the fridge. The place was not cleaned and it took him to months to come back and paint and he ended up only painting two walls. The bottom line is, if you are buying a car or renting: BEWARE! I would investigate and live somewhere else. He will do nothing to the apartment, he expects the renter to do everything. The last time I checked, that is what you do when you own a home, not rent!
