I would NOT recommend you take your vehicle to Pep Boys in Hampton. I recently had my Toyota 4 Runner there because the engine was misfiring. They had my vehicle 3 days; on the 2nd day they told me it was ready- come pick it up. I picked up my truck and it had the same problem I came with. I turned around and drove back to Pep Boys. The manager test drove the truck and apologized for releasing my vehicle still m... view moreisfiring. Several mechanics were working on my truck, it was late so I went home. The 3rd day, and $390 later, the manager called me at home and stated that my #6 cylinder was leaking water and that they could not fix it and referred me to an engine shop. I took my vehicle to Joseph Automotive in Hampton for a 2nd opinion. Joseph Automotive installed some spark plugs and plug wires and now my vehicle runs GR8. I have 2 words for Pep Boys auto repair in Hampton- YOU SUCK! I`m Ray Hensley and I approved this review.

Pep-boys , like every other ch...

Pep-boys , like every other chain store , is trying to cut cost & increase profits. In doing so they hire the slackest, Don`t-give-a ratsass crack-head street thugs they can get to work for minimum wage . If you can pass the math test ( ie: how many 40`s & 9mm`s does it take to rob a 7-11) you too can have a job at Pep-boys in Hampton Va. The guy is honest, reliable & he does more business than most shops 5x its size. Here in Gloucester , word of mouth can make you or break you...Its been almost 20 years & he has never had a bad month. He`s 1 mile north of the Coleman bridge in Gloucester point.
