This garage (Boswell Automotive, 3854 Jeff-Davis Hwy, Stafford, Va. is a definate ripoff. I took my Ford F150 pickup truck in for a tune-up and oil change last week. I asked for an estimate and was given an estimate of $346. I ok`d that and was told it would be ready the next day. When I picked up my truck 5 days later, the invoice was sheepishly slid across the counter and was told "the cost went up a littl... view moree". The invoice was for $528, an increase of $182. When asked why it went up so much and why I wasn`t told of the increase, the reply was that they broke off 2 spark plugs when removing, and had to buy a "special tool", (which they said I wasn`t charged for) to remove broken part. No explanation was rendered for the send part of question. I don`t know how the spark plug was broken, but know I didn`t do it. This auto repair shop is definately a rip-off shop. There are too many other repair shops nearby.
