Reviews:
I took my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer in for an oil change, tune up, and a travel check up because I was going to be taking a family trip. First thing is the staff are polite and from what I have seen competent mechanics. The work was completed when they said it would be, and I received prompt service when I arrived and when I called the phone was answered in a quick courteous manner. However I think they overcharge for t... view moreheir services. The tuneup alone cost $280+ which was pretty much just a spark plug and wire change which seemed kind of high to me, but its the first tune up I had done on the car since I bought it so I took their word for it. The "travel inspection" was $20.00 and the oil change was $45. I received a call in the middle of the day and the mechanic told me that I had a brake light out and the serpentine belt was cracking and should be replaced. They quoted me $10 to change the light and $100 to change the belt. I am familiar with some basic car maintenance, and I know most cars with serpentine belts are a pretty simple change. I told the mechanic to go ahead and change the bulb because I didn`t want to get pulled over going home, but I said no to the belt change. I did some quick searching on google and found some videos that confirmed my suspicions. I stopped off at Advance Auto parts and bought a belt for $28, but they had some for as high as $40. It literally took me 5 min and a long flat head screwdriver to use as a lever to rotate the tensioner and take the belt off and slide the new one on. $100 was way over priced. I would have paid a mechanic $70+ dollars for -5 min of labor. I will probably never take my car here again and will be shopping around for a better price next time. They received a "2 stars" instead of "1 star" because the staff was polite, prompt, and competent.
