*****PLEASE READ****** YOU AND YOUR CHILDRENS SAFETY IS AT RISK HERE!!!!!! HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!!!!! DIRTY!!! VERY DIRTY!! and the garage Thompson Tire which does their inspections... VERY DIRTY too!!! I`m a 43yr old single mother with 2 kids. I bought a car from UPSTATE AUTO on February 16 2013 with my last bit of tax refund money ($2769 to be exact!) and the next day the car would not ... view morestart. I called and called the dealer.. NO RESPONSE... On Monday I was able to get the car started and drive it back to the dealer. They said nothing was wrong with it and refused to even look at it. This issues went on for 2 more weeks (in addition to the check engine light coming on) until I demanded they come and pick the vehicle up and service it. They had my car for 3 weeks and then blamed ME for the issues with the vehicle. The accused me of 4wheeling with it and that I had ripped of some box under the car causing it not to start. They stated, and I quote! "We would have seen this box hanging off when we had the car on the lift for the inspection!!" Yeah.. it?ˆ™s a 4 door Chevy Cavalier... where and how would I be able to take this thing 4wheeling.. really.. blame the customer.. really!!!! 2 days later I was driving the car and a deer jumped in front of me... so what do you do.. right... slam the breaks on (NO BREAKS!!).. Went off the road and hit a tree. When the garage (that towed the car) put it on their lift they found that UPSTATE AUTO had sold me a vehicle with a rotted sub frame, rotted break lines, holes in the muffler, and bald tires. They said there was NO WAY for this vehicle to have passed inspection other than to have just "slapped" a sticker on it. The repairs were another $2000. I filed a complaint with the Motor Vehicle, who they obviously have connections with, because they just got done telling me there is nothing they can prove is the fault of this dealer OR the garage that inspected the car...
