I recently had some home AC issues. I called a repair guy and he said the motor was bad and it would cost 675$ to repair which included labor. I thought this sounded outrageous. I decided to try to replace the capacitor first, but to no avail, same issue. Refusing to pay 675$, I decided to take my motor(with fan and lid attached) to Stevens to have them test it. They took a quick look and spun the blade and sa... view moreid the bearings were toast. They looked up the motor and quoted 108$ but they didn`t have it in stock. I offered to pick it up from their distributor (I was dying from the 100+ degree heat) and bring it back. I payed for the motor, picked it up, and brought it back to Stevens`. They kindly replaced the motor fan, and also went the extra mile by cleaning my fan and cutting/reconnecting my old wires. I needed the old color wires so I knew how to hook it back up correctly(I am not a AC repair professional). Also he used some wire clips to keep them nice and organized and away from the spinning fan blades. He hooked up some power and showed me it was humming beautifully. They did all of this for no additional charge. I was very grateful after the horrible experience with the AC repair company I took it home and hooked it up and my AC is running better than ever now. They were very hospitable and pleasant the entire time. Thanks guys you rock!
