Tricked by their close friend who runs AAA Ottos, first they sell me a car that isn`t even legal to sell and won`t refuned, they wanted me to give them back the keys so they could take the car to Affordable Transmissions, they wanted me to pay for towing and all services, and they always hid from me when I tried to drop by to settle things. And these other reviews are fake, I wouldn`t trust them, they hardly have an... view morey fans either. Go to AAMCO in Sandy, Utah. My family has known them for 10-20 years, they never lie, and they helped me find all the things I needed for my car, and how to take care of my car so I don`t end up with a dead one. AAA Ottos and Affordable Transmissions, the way they spell their company names should be proof enough that they don`t know what they are doing. I would give you no stars, but even the rating system believes these guys are good.

I came to this shop because I read all the good reviews online about them, and I`m so glad I did. They have exceeded my expectations in every way. They were really good about calling to give me car updates. When we hit a bump in plans and found out that the parts were going to take extra time to come in (I wouldn`t have a way to my job for a couple days), they worked with me and even offered to pay for a rental car... view more. They really work with you to make sure you are satisfied! This is a very fair place to get your car fixed and they really care about their customers. It also doesn`t hurt that they have the fairest prices ;). I would recommend this place to anyone who wants their car and themselves to be treated with highest care at the best value in the area!

Not being paid to say this.

I would give them 2 1/2 to 3 stars realistically, but I thought I would try to offset all the FAKE reviews. If you look at all the other peoples profiles, you will see a pattern. They are all reviewing the same places and giving 5 stars. I have ACTUALLY been to Affordable Transmission. It`s been a couple of years now and I`m not even sure they are still in buisiness. I am sure that I left feeling a little rippe... view mored off. I had a transmission that needed to be re-built under warranty. They are part of the warranty group, but not the ones who rebuilt it either time. I had purchased a new shift cable before my transmission went out and had planned on changing it myself. When I took my car in to these guys, they said they would change it out when they put the trans back in. They forgot to do it, then decided to do it after the fact and bill me without ever talking to me. I could have done it myself and would have if I had known they were going to charge me. The transmission blew out again in less than 10000 more miles, but I don`t blame Affordable. They never did the rebuild, only the removal and installation.

When they say Affordable Transmissions, that`s exactly what they mean. I`ve checked other shops in the area, and nothing else compares. Not only prices, but the quality of products, and work as well. Definitely the place to go to.

As a side note, I had previously taken my car to the Chevy dealer with transmission issues. They claimed to have "fixed" my transmission, but it started making the same noise it had when I took it in. They checked it another time and they didn`t fix the problem. Thank goodness for technicians at Affordable Transmissions that not only found the problem (a broken transmission part) but resolved it. Very honest people to deal wi...

Very honest people to deal with, It was a simple start the car up, 30 seconds of listening and yup pull it in lets get the work started, straight and to the point. A few hours later and my car was ready to go.
