Crooks! Plain and simple. I`ve never been lied to like this before. I live in PG and have a mechanic I go to in Provo, but my car needed safety and emissions so I decided to just do that close to home. Got a coupon online for Lowbook for $10. They honored the coupon but that`s were my good experience ends. They came back and said I passed emissions but failed safety because my rear brakes were at 1/32 and 3 of my 4 t... view moreires were "into the secondary rubber." Rudy I believe was the salesman and he immediately got to selling. Offered to do the rear brakes for $140 and gave me a few quotes on tires. I had just replaced the rear drum brakes about a year and a half ago along with the front discs, and fronts are supposed to outlast rears 2-3 times over. This raised a concern for me so I took it to my trusted mechanic in Provo. He pulled off the rear wheels and inspected the brakes and showed them to me. Looked brand new still. They were at about 8/32 he said. I couldn`t believe it. I took some pictures of the brakes on my phone. He looked at the tires and said they were close, but not into the secondary rubber yet. When I had inspected them prior to all this I knew they were getting close but they hadn`t worn past the wear indicators yet so I thought I would be good. So he did an override in the system and passed me for safety. Now, I`ll give Low Book a pass on the tires - that was kind of a judgment call - even though technically I passed. But the brakes - that is either utter incompetence or outright lying - neither of which is acceptable. I could take the measuring device and see that the brakes were not anywhere close to 1/32. Straight up lying to me to sell me new brakes. The inspector was B. Chappell and the sales guy was Rudy I think. Classic bait and switch. Baited me with a $10 safety and emissions and then tried to sell me unnecessary parts/repairs. Will NEVER RETURN TO LOW BOOK!!! I don`t hate too many things - but a LIAR - is at the top of the list.

I would not go here. They do the least amount of safety according to the service manager. Talking to the service manager about the tread pulling apart from the tire. And damaging my vehicle only two weeks after driving off the lot, He claimed the cracks were not deep enough to be against the safety laws. And even though the suggested expiration date (suggested by the tire company) passed four years ago he claimed he ... view morewas doing the minimum requirements for Utah safety laws. So after owning the truck for two weeks I have holes and cracks in my dually fender and it is no longer legal because the tire ripped off two marker lights and a tail light. Even though I pointed out the cracks to the salesman before the purchase he "assured" they have been inspected and completely safe . So, after putting $3,000 down just a couple weeks ago, now it`s like I`m putting another $1000 down. The best they will offer me is splitting the cost of new tires and I`m on my own with the body damage. They only, only do the minimum requirements for safety. If we had been in a different place, a different driver or carrying the 52` trailer my salesman knew I was pairing with this truck, ultimately it could have killed someone. So be wary of any purchase here, don`t let them armorall your tires so the cracks aren`t as visible.

Working with Ryan at Low Book sales was great. He was patient and very easy to work with. He picked up a van for us so we could look at it and was really quick when we were crunching against time. I would recommend Ryan at Low Book Sales in Lindon, to anyone.

Not Good...
(SLC, UT) Went in their earlier this week and mostly worked with the general manager, Dave, who was a real nice, ""understanding of my stress"" type of guy. I told him more than once that I didn`t want to have a high payment so they took what I said and doubled it to make it easier for me. And then, when I told them I wanted a zero down payment they said it would be $1,000...so I told them I want to do $500. The... view morey asked about my van, I said I could use it in as a trade-in and they said it would knock the down payment to $500...but it didn`t (still stayed at $1,000). I paid the $500 and then they wanted another $500 within 1-2 days and they kindly kept my van I had just signed over to them. I found out all of this sweet news after signing over everything. All-in-all they are very caring guys...until you start signing papers. The dishonesty came out and they screwed me. I`m SO HAPPY my deal was canceled because I was 1099 instead of W-2 (they even asked me to lie to capital one and change my 1099 commissions to an hourly W-2 wage). You have no idea how much weight was off my shoulders when I found out the deal couldn`t be done. I wasn`t going to lie to capital one and try and change my wages. I learned that you always ask first and make sure they have it in writing to how you want the deal done, otherwise they`ll stick it to you and could care less about how your bills and pocketbook look like at the end of the month, they only care about theirs.

these guys rock!
I bought a used BMW and ended up having some issues that needed repairs. Low Book stepped up 110% and I was incredibly impressed with the CEO`s personal involvement in rectifying ALL the issues I had. He even got me parts and service at highly rediced prices. These guys are truly stand up people and a pleasure to deal with. Don`t go anywhere else- these guys rock!
