I had major work done in this shop and can say I was impressed with their attention to detail and customer service. Nice local company. My car is running great! All estimates were clear and detailed. Definitely recommend.

This place is very professiona...
This place is very professional and also has the best prices in the area....I`ve taking my Subaru for the last 3 years and never had any problems. Just today I was also able to do my safety and emission tests and right there I was able to get my sticker, I told Willy this is very convenient for people like me, who on weekends like to spend time at home instead of going to get my car fixed.

Editorial review from Citysearch
After searching for a while, came across this garage, and I have nothing bad to say about this business, very professional and helpful. I was given a quote and later I got a call from the manager who explained to me that my car needed a few more parts to prevent problems in the future. You don`t see this type of service nowadays.....Glad I had this taken care of at this place.

I was very pleased this past Monday
I was very pleased this past Monday when my car broke down and was repaired in no time.........i was going back home when this happened and I was very close to this shop, I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area. After reading those bad reviews I had to put something good for them, because I got home sound and safe thanks to them.

Total rip off
I took my car to them to be diagnosed. I told them to not replace anything. Just figure out what was wrong with it. The next day they called and told me that they replaced a few parts and the total bill was $500+ I could have done the same thing they did for around $50. Not only did they rip me off, my car ran worse than it did when I took it to them and when I finally figured out the problem myself (I`m not a mechan... view moreic just familiar with cars) it had nothing to do with the parts and things that they worked on. Very disappointed. If I could go back in time there is no way I would have paid them. They are over priced and don`t know what they are doing.

As shady as they come
There was a language barrier between myself and the employees, I am not sure they understood the problem with my car. They were very abrupt, they were not helpful. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. I could tell they were a shady auto place. To be honest, I am not sure how they are still in business. They must be in desperate need because I took my car somewhere else who quoted me 50% less.

Shouldn`t touch cars
If there were a rating for negative stars, thats what i`d give `em. Only put one star cause its required.
Took my car in for motor and tranny replacement. Multiple scratches, chips, dents in car. Took weeks and hundreds more than quoted. Still wasn`t done. Took to another shop to finish the job. Found parts i had paid to replace were not replaced. They didn`t even put the air filter back in sprayed a clea... view morer coat on everything to make it look good n new. With no air filter it sucked the clear coat into the motor and it ruined a very expensive sensor. I agree w Dbar`s comment on useing the temple and jesus pictures to make you believe they are honest god fearin people. Wouldnt let them put gas in my lawn mower.

A job well done.
I`m surprised to see the bad reviews. I have used Japanese Auto repair twice and have found them honest, reliable and to do good work. I guess it depends on your expectations. I have a 2000 Honda Prelude which I normally have had serviced at a Honda dealer. I bought the car new, and believe in the idea that it is worth paying for good maintenance. I`m not looking for the cheapest job, but good quality work that w... view moreill keep this car running well for several more years. The model isn`t made anymore.
There were a number of issues that had to be resolved including a cracked catalytic converter. Japanese auto correctly diagnosed the issues (which I was pretty certain about for a number of reasons), made the repairs, completed a full service, provided parts to my specification at reasonable prices. I felt that the total price was fair, especially in comparison with what I would pay at the dealership in San Francisco. I`m fussy about this vehicle, and I`m pleased with the service provided.
Perhaps it is all about expectations, but I have found no reason for complaint, rather a reason to recommend Japanese Auto Repair in Provo.
