Shout Out To Tanner Transmissions?ˆ¦I have to give these guys a lot of credit. They stand by their work rain or shine. They rebuilt my girlfriend`s transmission, and it turned into one of those nightmare jobs that kept coming back for mystery problems, It might be their fault; it might not. I anticipated quarrels and red tape and fees, but they`ve taken the car in under warranty several times now, pleasant as can be, a... view morend replaced stuff for free that has to have more than eaten through the profit they made on the rebuild. I mean the whole valve body, and the whole governor assembly. Many hundreds of dollars` worth of stuff covered. Jim in the front office has been very helpful the whole time. They`re really busy, and don`t turn over very fast, but I always get an informative update within a few days. Now, I`d probably be happier if they got the thing fixed a hundred percent the first time, but it`s a real relief knowing that if something does go wrong they`ll put this much effort into making it right. This is why the four star review. And the time to write for a service that I thought was very good.

Dont go here, Jim the manager,...

Dont go here, Jim the manager, would not want me to write this review since it isnt pretty. I took my durango in because the engine light came on and it was shaking at lights. Jim hooked it up to his computer and told me I needed a transmission, so I shelled out $3000 and after I got it back I had driven less then 100 miles when it started shaking again, so I took it back and Jim cleared the computer and said it wa... view mores glitch. I drove it again and less then another 100 miles it was shaking again, so he hooked it up to his computer and told me it was a clutch sensor, He had the vehicle for a week and when I picked it up he told me he would only charge for the part and no labor, well guess what? I happened again so my husband when to an auto parts store and bought the clutch sensor and my husband replaced the clutch sensor that Tanner Transmission was supposed to have replaced. We feel ripped off and used! We were charged over $3000 for a transmission that didnt need replacing and he didnt replace the clutch sensor like he charged. Im still debating if I wanna take this to small claims court. My advise is if you go there, get a second opinion before you let them do any work!

Good To A Guy From Out Of Town

Mike from Kentucky Jim at Tanner Transmissions asked me if I would write a review for him on the Internet for him. I said I be glad. I recommend Tanner Transmissions to anyone. I was from out of town and my 2002 Ford Explorer transmission quit. I was told by an anther shop that it would cost me $4500 to have it replaced. I won`t mention the other shops name. dont use tanner transmission!!!

I sent my car in for repair and its been 6 months Ive been fighting to get my car fixed. I am out 2500.00 The manager took off with all the paper work for the repairs when he was fired for stealing....anyway the BBB @ bbb.org has 70 complaints on tanner transmission in 36 months with 41 resolved, 7 unresolved, 20 no response from the company to the bbb`s letter, 2 administration closed.
