Great experience all around! I bought a Chevy Silverado about 6 months ago and I love my truck! It starts right up and I haven`t had any problems. The guys who worked there were cool and treated me with respect and didn`t pressure me which made the experience a lot better. Some car lots I went to gave me that stereotypical "used car salesman" vibe that`s really annoying but Duffys wasn`t like that so I woul... view mored definitely buy again from them. My buddy also bought a car from them about a year ago which is how I found them and he`s been happy enough about the whole to deal to recommend me.

Ripped Off!
I have to say I originally thought I could trust the sales guy I bought my Montero Sport from. He was friendly and helpful (Helping me right into a piece of junk)
It wasn`t but a few months later I started having problems with my vehicle. Not to mention I realized after I had bought it and went to use my horn a few weeks later that it didn`t work. (The horn not working is a saftery violation and should not have ... view morebeen able to pass safety, obviously they were fradulent in doing so)
When I went to do the emissions the following year I had found out that they had disconnected the check engine light. Because the emissions place told me that the check engince light was not reading. (So there again with the check engine light unhooked, how were they able to pass the emissions on it?) they were obviously fradulent on that as well. They just saw a female alone and knew how to take advantage of that situation. I have told many, many people about this place and have told them what happened to me. It is said that it appears by reading other reviews that many people have been ripped off as well.

Completely Rude
I wish I could give them zero stars. I didn`t even get a chance to begin to be a customer before they were rude to me.
I emailed regarding a car they had for sale on KSL. I have been watching this exact make model for several months now and I know what the highs and lows are in the market. So I made an offer and of course I`m going to offer low cause I`m looking for the best deal but I`m in the range I`ve b... view moreeen seeing them sell for from private sellers and dealers. Their response? ""GET REAL"".
I don`t know about any other business owners out there but I don`t treat potential customers that way and those that will survive the current economy won`t either. If they think dealerships had a hard time a few years ago... well good luck Duffy`s you just lost another customer.
Oh and I will be buying a car from someone but definintely not you.
DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS!!

Con Artists
Purchased a 2002 Chevy Malibu..was making a noise in the engine..was told it was normal..it was a rod going out. I had the car for 2 months and at a cost of $3000..the rod repair would have been over $5000..They knowing sold a junk car to a disabled american combat veteran.

Terrible Experience
I had an absolutely terrible experience! I bought a Toyota Coralla from Duffys. I could tell right away that there was a problem with the power windows because the car reeked of smoke so I tried to air it out, but the power windows kept getting stuck and wouldn`t roll up for ten minutes. Also, the inside driver`s door handle felt like it was going to pop off. I was willing to overlook these two things, but the second... view more day I drove the car, the check engine light came on just as I entered the freeway, and the car felt like it was cutting out. Every time I slowed down, it felt like it was going to stall. Terrified, I quickly drove it home (even though I was sick and on my way to the doctor`s office). The next day I had the car towed back to Duffys because I didn`t want to risk destroying the engine by driving it any further. The owner was hostile because he had to pay the 50 dollar tow charge and pretty much accused me of being a liar and that there was nothing wrong with the car. He just reset the check engine light. Now someone else who buys it is going to have the same issue, which I think is terrible. He did end up refunding the money to my credit union, but not with a lot of hassle. I literally had to have my husband drive me out there 4 times this week to sign documents and bring some papers, and each time I offered to take the payoff check to my credit union, but he refused to give it to me. Then he called me when I was at a night class and said I could deliver the check after all, so I had to drive out there again! Keep in mind I don`t even have a car right now, so my husband kept having to commute all across the valley just to take me from my work to Duffys and then back to the credit union. I really believe the owner had me keep going out there out of spite because he knows I work late and don`t have a car right now. I also believe he was intentionally delaying the payoff just so I would have to pay more interest on my loan. I was even considering getting a different car from there, but after the way I was treated, I will never go there again, and also I will be sure to tell all my friends and family and future customers about my horrible experience. The fact that he`d just reset the check engine light shows just how dishonest he is! There WAS something wrong with that car... I knew it... I felt performance issues when the light came on, yet the owner denies there is anything wrong and is just going to resell this car to some other poor chump. I am appalled and disgusted.

Would recommend buying here!!!
I don`t really get into writing many reviews, but tonight I was looking through City search and read these reviews. I have been dealing with Duffys for many years now. I found them one day in 2005 when I was driving by, and spotted a 1996 Toyota Camry on their lot. I stopped in and was very pleased with the way I was treated. I ended up buying the car from a guy named Stev, and I drove it for two an a half years with... view moreout any problems. I sold it and actually made money on it, when I returned to Duffys to look for another car. I found a white Buick lesabre, which was one of the cleanest cars I had seen for a while, and I asked if Steve was still there, and a guy named Jay said he was not in that day, but he would help me. Well, I drove the car and he told me that it got about 29 to 30 miles to the gallon which I did not believe at the time, being a big car and all, but I bought it anyway because iof it`s condition. well, I still own in it and it gets more like 32 MPG. I am happy with the car, and the dealership. I have two friends and 3 family members that have purchased cars from Duffys, one from a Bruce, two from Jay and the others from Steve.I don`t now who these two people talked to or what day it was, but It doesnt seem to me they went to the same car dealer I went to. I would honestly recommend this place to anyone lookig for a car.

Great Place for Rudeness
I called tonight to inquire on a vehicle on their lot. I had looked up the KBB, there were two models with the same specifications, I asked which it was and the man confirmed it was the lower-price model (lower price by $1000, on a $1400-$2400 car). I told him my findings on KBB, he muttered something and all I caught was, ""Guess shouldn`t buy the car."" I asked, ""You guess you shouldn`t buy the car?"" He said,... view more ""No, I guess YOU shouldn`t buy the car if it`s too much for you."" Uh, that wasn`t the point at all. And yea, looks like they`re trying to swindle on people`s naivity/stupidity. Pathetic. Definitely won`t ever buy from them. And that guy, above and beyond what I described, was one of the rudest people I`ve ever met, even when I was being very polite. YUCK.

honest kind and forgiving
The white haired ownergave me several weeks to pay for the truck, even though he said they dont finance. I bought a 2001 crew cab chev and ive put over 30,000 miles on top of the 130000 miles it had. I own a landscape company, and some of the other salespeple wouldnt work with me. The old man told me that he owned half the dealership and showed me what he had. The long haired guy was helpful but would not listen to m... view morey financial situation. I ended up buying the truck and financed me with 4000 bucks down against the 9000 dallor price tag after talking to the other owner. He let me make payments in the bad weather season even when I was out of work. I bought 2 trucks from the gentleman since and havent had to spend anything on repairs on the trucks. All I can say is buy from the old man, he is very honest and knows what he is doing. If you need an honest guy to buy trucks from buy from this guy. I dont feel any need to shop anywhere else, if the man does not have what i want, he said he will find what I neeed for my business. Always buy from this old guy(owner) and never worry about anything. thanks duffy!

Beware this dealership
I felt the sales person there was shady and might have taken advantage of the fact that I know very little about cars. He was also mean, petty, and defensive when confronted.
I bought an $8000 car in Dec knowing the AC was broken, but with the understanding they would make it work in the spring. So we eventually brought the car back to Duffy`s for freon. It was completely empty again within days. So it was pre... view moretty clear there was a leak. I called the sales person back within about 6 weeks to ask them to fix the AC, he agreed to put more freon and dye in the system. Prior to this, we had spoken another time about this because I wanted another shop to fix the AC, and Duffys declined to reimburse me for that.
Adding to our general insecurity was the fact that the sales person was never really ""warm and fuzzy"" during any of our calls. There was always an unspoken air of wanting to get me off the phone as quick as possible, that I was a bother and I was wrong for asking so many questions.
So with that history, my 17 year old daughter went to get the freon and dye. When she arrived, the sales person snapped at her that I never made an appt and he didn`t have the supplies on hand. (I was under the impression we had a standing appt). She was flustered and said something the sales person took to mean we didn`t trust him. (we didn`t entirely, he only proved us right!). He got massively defensive. He slammed the door in her face and left her standing in the garage. He then refused to help us any further because we didn`t trust him. He refused even when I called him and tried to reason with him, that this was a 17 year old girl and they say obnoxious things from time to time, and couldn`t we get past that!
Bottom Line: they promised to make the AC work on a used car we paid $8,000 for and they refused to do this for us. And treated us with much hostility on top of it!
I would recommend you DO NOT purchase from the dealership.
