If I can give ZERO stars I would, this was probably the worst car buying experience I ever had. So I was getting quotes from multiple toyota dealerships then, STEVE ANDAS (Internet Sales Manager @ Karl Malone) called me and gave me what seemed to be the best deal compared to all other dealerships. He told me a price `out of the door` and then asked me to drive down to Draper. I of course asked him to valid his qu... view moreote in written (do this or else they will pull out a switcharoo on you) which he refused back and forth, then finally at my insistence I got him commit his quote on written. Everything seem fine we agree on the price, all I had to do is go down to the dealership and pick it up with the written on paper (email), half way (20 min drive) to the place STEVE ANDAS called me and said `Oh, guess what? My manager can`t approve the price I gave you in written`. Really, I should sue you and your dealership for false advertisement and bad customer service. Get a life and stop wasting buyers time. Moral of the story: DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, NOT EVEN IF YOU GET A WRITTEN QUOTE. LIKELY THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME DRIVING DOWN AND FOOL YOU.

Too bad you can`t give 0 stars...
Too bad you can`t give 0 stars! Watch out for Jeff Robinett- Sales and Ti Dyphibane- Finance at Karl Malone Toyota. Jeff Robinett and Ti Dyphibane will team up to create a misleading and unethical transaction take place. I CANNOT think of an experience worse than dealing with Jeff Robinett and Ti Dyphibane from Karl Malone Toyota. I went in with my girlfriend to visit with Jeff Robinett to talk about a Toyota... view more Tacoma that she wanted. She had put a $1000 on a truck to get it down to the dealership in Draper, Utah. As a first time car buyer with exceptional credit he had a contract in hand explaining the gift of a 7.99% interest rate (with a $10000 down payment). Jeff explained that this was "a gift" and the Warren Buffet`s of Karl Malone Toyota were "the only ones in the world that could pull this off." When I questioned the 7.99% APR and said it was high, to which Jeff agreed it was, Jeff Robinett went into divide and conquer mode. He immediately went on the attack with me and used all the dishonest sales tactics available. He tried to flatter my girlfriend and say that he trusted her and why should she not trust him. I became thoroughly disgusted with Jeff`s behavior and when I told my girlfriend not to sign anything Jeff asked me what my problem was and implied I was a bad person or a jerk and was somehow trying to make myself look good... all the while destroying the deal of the century for my girlfriend. While my girlfriend continued to talk with Jeff Robinett I couldn`t take any more of his blatant lies and walked out. He was just trying to pit me Vs her to get this sale. I could not deal with the totally unprofessional and unethical behavior. Luckily my girlfriend did not sign anything... although he made sure to have all the papers on the desk immediately when we looked at the car. We found a great late model used Tacoma at a good price at Mark Miller Subaru. The sales staff was very professional and listened to all of our concerns. There were no high-pressure sales tactics and the staff evaluated many financing options. Not only did we do better than 7.99% but instead got a 2.84% APR loan. Jeff Robinett- YOU are the reason that salesmen get a bad name. In terms of predatory lending and lack of business ethics YOU are the face. Maybe I`ll put your name up under the definition of "Predatory Lending" on Wikipedia- you deserve it! Ti Dyphibane- YOU are a misleading, bullying, liar. You take advantage of people and are the main reason there are so many bad reviews of Karl Malone Toyota on the web. If your business model is to treat clients like garbage and lie and coerce- then you will reap what you sow. The internet is a powerful tool for potential clients. Karl Malone- Do you not have any respect for your name? I had respect for you before but if you condone these disrespectful/ fraudulent practices at your namesake then you deserve NO respect. I would be ashamed to have these people as representatives of my business. But in all seriousness Jeff Robinett, I truly think you are a deep down bad person. I wish you difficulties and sadness in your life so that you can experience what you put other people through. May God have mercy on your soul!

I went in looking for a new or...
I went in looking for a new or used Toyota Tacoma. After I told the sales guy (I think his name was Mike) what I wanted he insisted we go for a test drive. I had driven the exact truck at a different dealership only two days previous so I said I did not need to do another test drive, but was looking for a particular color and trim package. He insisted we go for a test drive "cause his boss would get mad at h... view moreim if we didn`t" so I went. After going two block and turning around we then went back in and sat down at his desk. That is when the pressure tactics started. "Sign this form so we know you are serious, it just means that if we find you the right car you will buy tonight." Really you want me to sign a form saying I agree to buy before we have even talked about price or trade-in value? Total pressure crap and that was only the start. He then took the keys to my 2002 Volvo XC70 that I wanted to trade and presented me with details on a truck with the right color but a trim package slightly different than what I wanted. When I asked about the differences, he had no knowledge of what a locking rear differential was or which package included it and had to go consult a manager. When it became clear that the options I wanted were in a different trim package, I asked what the price difference would be and the salesman said "a couple thousand dollars" That is not true. While he was in getting the keys for the test drive, which I did not want to take, I looked at several different stickers and the price difference was actually $590. He said $2,000 likely because he did not want to try to locate another truck with the options I wanted and wanted to pressure me to buy the truck he had already located. Then came back their initial trade in offer, $600. Now I know dealers don`t give a lot for trades, but I purchased my Volvo for $3,900 6 months previous and had been watching prices for 3 months before that. $3900 was by far the lowest, way below blue book and CarFax lowest price. This offer was not only offensive, but a thinly veiled attempt to rip me off. So, I wised up, called the salesman out on his BS and asked for my keys back. He initially would not give them to me and said I should talk to his manager. The manager came out, but without my keys and asked if there was anything he could do. At this point I got angry about them holding my keys hostage and said the only thing he could do was get my keys or things would get ugly. He finally got them and I walked out. I will never return and will tell everyone I know to never ever under any circumstances go to Karl Malone Toyota for any reason.

Editorial review from Citysearch
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place to go! Do NOT go there! They sold me a car with a faulty transmission in it. Less then a week later I tried to take it back and they would not allow it. Nor would they allow me to take it with me for a day to see how I liked it to make sure everything was ok with the vehicle! I would give this LESS then one star, and Jim Johns was my sales person. He was horrible and they will not fix ANYTH... view moreING on the vehicle even if you get there really expensive overpriced insurance. BEWARE, go elsewhere for your own sake!

Karl Malone Toyota WORST Dealership IN UTAH!!
I shouldn`t even put a star but gave them one for the fact the guy who always washed my car was courteous and respectful unlike everyone else in the service area. Bought my 2009 Toyota Camry XLE brand new from them and always had it serviced by them until the car started falling apart at 20K miles and that`s when the fun began. The car was a flat out LEMON with continuous navigation, steering, power windows, driver... view more seat, rattling interior problems but continued to bring it in over and over again until the warranty hit 36K miles and the car started shaking really badly in gear or at a complete stop, stop signs, stop lights etc. Took the car to them and they would completely blow me off even when I had an appointment over and over again! Took it back again and they said they would look at it and said they compared my car to another and that at 36K IT IS CONSIDERED OLD AND NORMAL TO SHAKE. The guy honestly WAS AN IDIOT. I have had other cars in the past that had over 180,000 that RAN better than this car. They told me that the car is out of warranty BY ONLY 1200 MILES and that I would have to pay to have it looked at! I got so mad that I took the car to a small Toyota repair shop in Provo and he found the problem FOR FREE in 20 minutes! Found it to be a Transmission mount was broken and shaking the car really badly. Everything on that car breaks and I treat it like a Mercedes. All I can say is DON`T GO TO THE BACK STABBING KARL MALONE STEALERSHIP. They DO NOT care about service and as a customer your NEVER right and the IDIOT to them when they look at you. IF YOUR READING THIS KARL MALONE I WILL NEVER EVER TRADE OR BUY A NEW CAR FROM YOU AGAIN!!!!

Never go to them
Would not give them any stars but had to give them at least one. Tried to put warranty charge of $1300 on the bill after the contract was signed. Gave me a 7.9% interest rate for 6 years after I told them I wanted a 5 year loan. Got my own loan for 2.9%. Finance person terrible. Tried to scare me into signing for the higher rate. When he couldnt get to me he got mad and call me a crook. Had to call a manager a... view morend settle this with him. Watch out for them.

Don`t Trust These Reviews!
Just a warning. I`ve been to Karl Malone Toyota and so far the experience has been ok. However, after reading the reviews, and looking at each users profile, you`ll notice that all of them, with the exception of the single one star review are all done by the same person. click on each user name and then look at all of the reviews they`ve done. They are all the same businesses, with several car dealerships reviews for... view more each single name. How many cars can a single person buy within a 6 month period? If you look at all user profiles and reviews you will see the pattern. This site isn`t reliable for accurate and fair reviews.

We very much appreciated that
We were awarded a Karl Malone gift card, and lost/misplaced it. We reported the loss to the dealership, and they were able to reissue the gift card. We very much appreciated that, as it was a consideration in the initial lease agreement.
