Incompetent Mechanic

I hired Randy to fix an oil leak. He had my car for over 6 weeks. Said the oil leak was repaired. Brought the car home and had the same oil leak. Brought it back and immeddiately he went to the oil cap and said it was cracked and that was causing the oil leak. So he replaced it and I am thinking he misdiagnosed the cause of the oil leak and charged me over $700. Brought the car home again and still have an oil l... view moreeak. I explained to him he misdiagnosed the cause of the oil leak. He admitted that his brother Andy diagnosed the problem and did the repair. He also explained that he was a heroin addict. So he asked me to bring the car back so he can take a look at it. So I brought the car back. About a week later I got a call about a week later from Salt Lake Pollice at midnight. The brother Andy stole the car and he was caught dealing Heroin. Andy was arrested and we took the car back. We brought the car back to Andy for repair. We found out that part of his delay was that he could not afford the parts and he would have to save money so he could buy parts. In this case after he looked at it he said it was the dip stick.So he replaced the dip stick and it still leaked. When we went to pick the car up, the tire was flat, the battery was dead and the shroud underneath the car was partially off. The mechanic on site stated that Andy the drug dealer still worked on the car. But we still got the car back and still had the oil leak. When we got the car back it had numerous major scratches with the lenses for the two fog lights brokedn and the rear back lense was broken. Andy stated that he did not know how to fix the car and we were out over $700 and 5 months of not using the car. I had another mechanic look at the car and he repaired it in two hours. The oil leak was the gasket from the oil pan. He charged me about $120 to get it fixed. I got a quote from an auto body repair shop and was quoted over $2000 to have the scratches and lenses repaired. He is incompetent, has his brother a covicted heroine addict and dealer working there and in my opinion lied about it. DO NOT GO THERE!

SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!!!!! Only reason I went to this guy is because the dealership I got my truck from said to take it to him. First DON`T EVER let anyone you know take their vehicle here! 2nd DON`T BUY FROM STEVE`S AUTO/PRO FINANCE until they ditch Randy. He is their mechanic. Paid $2300 to have rebuilt engine put in. He had my truck 45 days!! He broke clutch plate in process, truck drove horrible when I ... view moregot it back, he put a JB WELDED oil pan on my truck and thought that was ok, flaked out numerous times with phone calls, communication and days when my truck would be done. I had to buy a new oil pan and gasket to replace his JB Weld job that leaked oil EVERYWHERE! Taken truck back to him several times because things are not right and he`s never fixed anything right or followed through on anything he says.. Check Engine Light has not been off for more than 24hrs. And this isn`t even the complete list of all the screw ups I dealt with. His brother works graves and lets his girlfriend hang out and both are obvious TWEEKERS! I`ve cut my losses and wouldn`t let him touch my truck with a 10ft pole. This has been drug out long enough!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO RANDY!...

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO RANDY!! He quoted me cheaper than my regular mechanic so I took my car to him to have the timing done. He ended up charging me more and broke a few things in the process. AND TO TOP IT OFF...he didn`t tighten the bolt all the way on my timing belt tensioner so my timing went out and bent all my valves.
