REPORT THEM TO TX ATTORNEY GENERAL
""A+ Transmission has lied about parts and services and messed my car up - and I`m not the only one. They have a LONG line of disgruntled, victimized customers as a result of this continuous activity that appears to be encouraged. Each of us will file a single complaint which will be overlooked because they have our money in hand, and our problems are not theirs. It`s time to do it differently now. In addition to... view more the BBB, I have contacted the Attorney General`s office and am encouraging everyone who has been scammed by them in the last 2 years (or longer) to do the same. In my conversation with the Atty. General`s office they told me there is no time limit and that they would ENCOURAGE people to file a report so, - file away!! Please contact Atty. General office (800) 621-0508 to file your complaint. They WILL investigate. They depend on us to inform them of this type activity. You can also file a claim online here. https://www.oag.state.tx.us/consumer/complain.shtml it takes 10 minutes. Let`s do more than complain - let`s shutemdown! It`s ridiculous to have these many complaints and no one doing anything about it.""
A Plus Will Scam You / 4/11/2012

A Transmission is Ripping us off. Report them.
A+ Transmission Specialists AKA SASD Corporation will, and has, defrauded its customers - just ask your friends. I am surprised how many people know first-hand of their terrible reputation. They hide their BBB reviews under another name (SASD Corporation). This has to stop with someone. I am just one individual, but I can do something. The Office of Texas Attorney General states: ""We rely on citizens like you to ... view morehelp us enforce the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and other consumer protection laws"". This was in direct response to my complaint about A+ Transmission Specialists. If we just continue to allow them to lie, cheat, and misuse our trust simply because they rely on the fact that we have no knowledge of transmissions, we don`t have any right to complain when they do it. There are laws against these activities, they are just not being enforced. I think they need to start enforcing them, now. You can help too: . If they have lied to you about parts, services installed on your car . If you used their free coupon and they took your car apart then forced you to pay to have it put back together . If they refuse to provide detailed receipts . If they told you that one repair was needed, but immediately after told you that you needed a new transmission because there was a lot of metal in your transmission (when they had not told you this when they first inspected it). . If you asked them not to do any work and they did it anyway without approval or any evidence of the work being performed (no receipt, no conversation with you, etc.) . If you left their shop, thinking everything was OK but found out within a few days that they had done something like left the seal off your transmission pan (maliciously or by oversight) - like they did to mine, allowing my transmission fluid to drip slowly and unnoticed which would have led to total transmission damage or even physical harm to me or my family if my transmission had failed on the freeway or if I had to sit somewhere waiting on a wrecker. Here is what you can do. I have contacted these agencies and even more. I can give you better detailed info if you respond to my email. One specific tip might prove invaluable to you. Contact BBB: Search for a+ Transmission or SASD Corporation Contact Texas Office of Attorney General: (800) 621-0508 Contact FTC: Contact Consumer Investigators: Please be sure to keep your receipts even if they don`t say what they should - this is a tactic they have been using to get around covering up that they have not installed the parts that they claim. If you are currently having work done by them - understand that they will act like they are your new best friend. Listen to what they are saying - they will risk their job to help you out?? They will switch phones so that they can go against company policy to give you a better deal?? They will give you a free rental car - - that never arrives?? They will tell you intimate details about their family to put you at ease - why do they need to be so friendly?? When are you exceptionally, over the top friendly?? Lastly - record, (secretly on your cell phone) what they say. Don`t wait til the problem shows up - record them while they are being your friend, telling you what needs to be done and how they are going to `help you out`. When you go back because there is another problem, record (secretly) - again. Please feel free to contact me, I have even more information to offer and will be glad to help. I have been without the use of my vehicle since I found out that they left it unsealed and I could run out of transmission fluid at any time. My lawyers have asked me not to drive it and not to get it fixed. It has been 2 months now.

My chevy truck stalled on me right during rush hour traffic. Thinking it was transmission problem. It was towed to A Plus Transmission. I was surprised to hear it was only a fuel pump problem. It was repaired and I just wanted to say thanks to Scott. I fully recommend this shop you will be please.

THANK`S
I was recommended to A Plus Transmission by Firestone. I was thinking I had a major transmission problem. So I took my car there. Scott , the manager could not have been any nicer. I did not have a major transmission problem like I thought. It was only a minor. I would have not known the difference. Thanks A PLus Transmission and Firestone !!!

Do NOT Go Here!
I had a Tahoe with a problem in (apparently) both the transmission and the converter box. A+ charged me more than $3,100 to fix it which I paid because I needed to get around. They did not offer me a rental car. After ""fixing"" my transmission, which took several days longer than estimated originally, I drove off in 2wd. What I didn`t realize is that they did not fix the 4wd aspects of the transmission. I don`t... view more know if this was intentional or if they just didn`t realize the extent of the problem. In any event, by the time I realized the 4wd wasn`t working I was about to go on vacation and the transmission was apparently still under warranty. So I dropped it off, thinking 9 days would be enough for them to fix the problem (which I was assured it would be).

9 days passed, I got back to Houston and was dropped off at A+ to get my (what I thought would be) repaired car. No, they hadn`t even finished running the ""tests"" (but I walked in on the guys working there doing nothing in the office). The only reason I knew the Tahoe was even looked at was because the transmission didn`t work as well when I got back from vacation. Yes, I gave them 9 days to fix my problem and they made it worse.

Worst $3,100 I`ve ever spent. Stay away from these guys. They do their job for more than anyone but a dealership. They do it very slowly. They charge you a high fee upfront to ""diagnose"" so you can`t take it elsewhere. They lie about when it will be done. Worst of all, though, THEY DO NOT FIX YOUR PROBLEM.

A dealership might cost more. Another shop might cost more. If you want your problem fixed, a little more would be worth it to avoid A+. I highly doubt anyone charges significantly more than what these guys charged me.

WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF
My girlfriend was having transmission issues, so we took here car in to A+. They said that they would have to take the transmission out and take it apart to determine what exactly was wrong. This alone cost $385 and then they were to follow up with a quote. The car was in the shop for two days before they got it taken part (I found out later this should have taken no longer than a couple of hours). I had them fax me ... view morethe quote for $3044. I sent this quote to three other repair shops, each of which beat this estimate by at least $500, the cheapest being $1800. I felt like they were trying to rip me off so I called A+ and told them this and that I wanted to pay the $385 for work done and that I would have the car towed to another shop. The woman on the phone told me that I would have to talk to her manager, Jamie Vall. He refused to listen when I told him that I just wanted to pay for the work done and get the car ready to be towed. After 10 minutes of arguing he became belligerent and told me that I would now have to pay $495 in cash, and that the car ""may or may not be ready to be towed by the weekend,"" and hung up on me. When I called back, the manager and the girl in the office refused to talk to me. The next day I tried to get a hold of the corporate office, which took until mid-afternoon. After further arguing with them, I was finally able to get them to call the shop that the car was at and tell them to get the car down to be towed and that I only owe the $385. It was the most ridiculous, frustrating experience I have ever had with a repair shop. They are absolutely a bunch of criminals who tried to overcharge me and held the car hostage for 3 days. DO NOT go here or they WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF.
