Caution
Caution...find another mechanic. I went here for a tune up and new brakes. They broke my rotors on the brake job and then sent me home with the brakes not working properly (they broke the speed sensor). Brakes were grinding loudly so I`m not sure how they didn`t notice. When I took it back they told me it wasn`t safe to drive. A couple months later by spark plug and ignition coil blew out from a faulty installati... view moreon during the tune up. My car broke when I was 45 minutes away from the My Mechanic so I took it to another dealership. Once I found out that it was a result of improperly installing the spark plugs I called Eddie at My Mechanic and had him talk to the other repair shop. He agreed for me to have the work done their and said he would reimburse me. I brought him the spark plug showing him evidence it was installed incorrectly. He agreed and processed the paperwork with their Corporate office. I kept getting the run around and finally Eddie said he did all he could and that the Corporate office would not approve it. The repair that the other repair shop did was a quick fix (rethread the cylinder head spark plug) and Eddie was aware that this fix may not hold. Since it was a lot cheaper than pulling the cylinder head he agreed to do it. Turns out this didn`t work so I brought it back to my mechanic. The one good thing I can say is that they did repair the work which was a 10 hour job to pull the cylinder head. The bad thing is that rather than get a new cylinder head they sent it to a repair shop. My car broke again and once again Eddie repaired the work under warranty. I took my car in for a tune up to try to avoid having any problems in the future. Instead my car broke down several times and I was out of work for 4 days, and had to pay almost $400 for another repair shop to fix the work My Mechanic did wrong. . I had no confidence that the car wouldn`t keep breaking so I ended up buying a new one.

Totally Dishonest
I initially brought my car in on New Years Ever for an oil change. They told me I had only 5% life left on my brakes, that I needed a transmission flush, power steering flush, but my battery tested good. I brought my car in 2 weeks later on Jan 15th and Ricky Villareal checked me in. He called me later to tell me they couldn`t machine my rotor because it was warped and needed to be replaced. I explained that whe... view moren I brought it in on NYE that they told me it could be resurfaced, but he insisted it needed to be replaced. When I picked up the car there was an irate customer in the lobby saying he couldn`t even get his car out of neutral. Anyways, after I left I noticed the time in my vehicle had been reset and the cd had been started over as if I had just inserted it. I called and asked if they needed to go under the hood for a brake change (already knowing the answer is ""NO"") and Ricky said ""No."" I said ""So why then has the clock been reset and the cd started over?"" He said he didn`t know, then as if it all came back to him suddenly, ""Oh yeah your battery died"". I replied ""What?! I just brought it in 2 weeks ago and the battery tested strong, and I`ve NEVER had even a slightest hessitation with my battery. He then lied and said the mechanics notes last time said the battey needed replacing. As I explained to him that I was looking at the paper that showed it was fine he said ""Well I dont know. What do you want me to do? I was supposed to leave at 4 and its 430, I have better things to do than be on the phone with you talking about a battery."" I WILL be filing a corporate complaint at 9 am Monday morning.

WORST and most DISHONEST MEchanics in Houston
Do not take your car to My Mechanic at Kirby if you want the car to be fixed. Almost $1000 later and the car is not fixed. Lied about what needed fixing and did not fix what they said was wrong. The service manager is rude and unprofessional. I am disgusted they are in business.

WORST Experience ever - Dangerous
Only thing left to do it write a comment and hopefully spare some one else from this place. Do NOT get your car repaired here. They are liars, almost $1000 later the car is dead. Not trustworthy.

Excellent, friendly service!
I can`t comment, really, on the quality of work they do at My Mechanic, but I got a flat tire this morning as I was driving down Greenbriar, and I pulled in and asked them to fix or replace it. They fixed it for me in just a few minutes, for free, saying just to think of them the next time I needed an oil change. And the next time I need work of any kind done on this household`s cars, I can promise you it *will* ... view morebe at My Mechanic West U. Thanks, My Mechanic!

Try these guys!
This service center at Kirby and Holcombe is the best Mechanic shop I have ever visited. The facility is very clean, the guys working in the shop are very professional, and the managers are top notch. I have brought all three of my vehicles to this shop and I know I will get an honest assessment on my vehicles when I bring it to them. I hear thing at times on my vehicle that I dont want to hear but they will show me... view more what is needed and I think that is great. I have total trust in these guys and they change the outlook on this type of repairs. Keep it up.

WOW!! Best auto repair experience!!
I had to have my car towed in late in the evening because it was overheating. Of course it was too late to fix it that night, but they were great and got me transportation right away. They called me the next morning with the estimate and got my car back to me on the same day. The price seemed fair, I priced them with other places after I picked up my car and the were extremely fair. They even checked on my mainten... view moreance items and informed my of my next services that need to be done. I felt as if they were looking out for my needs and made me feel like I was their priority. I will definitely be returning for all of my auto needs or services and I will also highly recommend them to friends and family.

they don`t fix the problem
Took my car to get an alignment due to drifting. I was quoted over the phone a price of 89 plus tax. When I was told it was done, I was told is was 98 plus tax. After asking about the first price, they did honor that. When I got in my car to go home, it felt like nothing was done. My car was still not aligned. While driving I was changing lanes by letting go of the wheel. Granted this could have been due to p... view moreoor weather, not so great roads, etc. Well I gave it over the weekend to see if it got better, and it didn`t. I brought my car back to them and told them it is still pulling. They gave me some lame excuse and said they would look at it again. When it was ""looked at again"" nothing was done. They said it is fine, but it is pulling due to something else, which of course will cost more money to fix. If they can`t perform a simple wheel alignment, I wouldn`t trust them with anything. The story changes, and they were no help, a waste of time and money. Another poor experience is they changed my master cylinder, and a few months later I brought my car in to another shop and they told me my master cylinder needed to be replaced. I have no clue what My Mechanic did, because I needed another one. I didn`t even bother with the warranty work, if they can`t do it right the first time, and I had previous bad experiences, I won`t even bother them messing it up more. Took my car here once for a leaky seal. They told me the part was about 200 dollars. I called Honda myself, and the part was cheaper. My Mechanic marks up their parts big time. I won`t take my car here ever except if I need an oil change and I am at work.

Worst Mechanic in Houston
Car flooded after a storm. Took to My Mechanic (which I had used for years when it was an Auto Care). Car there for 3 months (!!) and I`ve had nothing but problems since then.
