My vehicleI paid for the same transmission to be repaired 2011 & 2008 Both 2 times the vehicle has been back to the shop 3 times ?ˆ?after?ˆ? the repair. The vehicle went in in March 2011. I was out of a vehicle for 28 days. When I call they tell me that the manager is out on a test drive or getting parts. My vehicle has been back that shop three times since April 2011. When I call they tell me to call back in an hour, when I call back they do not answer the phone.I spoke to the owner, he has been evasive, and downright rude.WILL NEVER RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE...

I paid about $1800 for repair of transmission and a few other things and my auto has been back to this shop four time is still not working and is still at there shop. When I call they tell me to call back in an hour, when I call back they do not answer the phone. I have been dealing with this problem for two weeks. Next they tell the part is on order then they tell the wrong part can in. When the right part comes i... view moren they tell it will be ready at 10:30am the next day, but when I call the do not pick up the phone. I use a friend phone and they pick said they say we are going to test drive the car call back in 30 min. When I call back they do not pick up the phone. Honest and reliable service; fair pricing on parts and service

This is a small family-based business owned and run by Charlie and his wife Sophia. I agree with the previous reviewer that this isn`t the cleanest place to have your car repaired; but I`m not interested in how fancy or clean a place is; I want good service and fair costs. Charlie works on the cars himself and his time and money isn`t devoted to creating a beautiful shop - it is to provide good workmanship at a mor... view moree than reasonable cost. I have been going to Downtown Transmission for years (two different cars) and have never been disappointed. To me it is worth waiting a little for the money I save.

service is very poor

This shop is very dirty and under-managed. I called a couple of times and no one answers the phone, or if someone does answer they dont speak english. I was supposed to get a quote for repairs, but never received one.
