Ross and Pat McWhorter started selling tires in Downtown Lubbock 68 years ago. Today that parking garage is home office to one of West Texas` largest Goodyear Dealers. McWhorter`s now has two additional retail locations in Lubbock at 50th and Boston and Spur 327 and Frankford, as well as a truck center on Clovis Highway and Ave. U. In 1957, McWhorter`s opened a location at 908 Ave. H in Levelland, TX. McWhorter`s became partners with Roy Reid in 1964 becoming McWhorter Reid Tire, sold to Roy Reid Tire in 1971, and Roy Reid Tire was purchased back by McWhorter`s in 2004. McWhorter`s sells and services all types of tires: car tires, performance tires, truck tires, farm tires and earthmover tires. We provide mobile units to mount any size tire you may need. Auto and truck service has become a large part of our business. We do brake, alignment, diagnostics, air conditioning and much more on all types of cars, light trucks and medium-sized commercial trucks.
