The guy who wrote the review below is right, the service has totally changed for the better. It is never fun to have to have an interlock on your car but these guys make it painless. At no point did I feel like a bad person or that I was being judged. I was treated with respect and received professional service. The same happened wh... view moreenever I had to come into the shop and I never dreaded the monthly visit because Terry was always nice and friendly. The management when I started going in 2010 was awful and unprofessional and uncomfortable, but out with the old and in with the new! Ever since the old managers were fired and the new ones have taken over it the difference has been like night and day. If you have to have an interlock on your car, it sucks, but at least they make it as painless as possible. It`s reasonably priced and no shady fees. They get you in and out and on with your day and are really nice and helpful. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because I was disappointed with the management I had to deal with in the first place.

Professionals and nice people too
The two guys who run this place have turned it around 360 degrees. They are courteous, professional, and always willing to bend over backwards to help you (as much as the law will allow, anyway). They treat everyone with the utmost respect and dignity and never judge you. The shop is always immaculate and they even have a restroom your mom would be proud of. Things have changed. The owners have fired everyone described in the previous 1 star rating. I had similar bad experiences with the previous management, but no more. The actual owner, and one other guy, I think his name is Todd, run the place is now. The change has been night and day different. The new management has cleaned up the store, and are extremely helpful and nice. The regular hours are still a little... view more odd. However, a few months ago when my schedule didn`t allow me to make it in during office hours. I called, and they offered to stay late or come in early to help me out, and that is exactly what they did First off, no one wants to be a customer of these guys and no one is ever happy to be there. But if you have to use this type of service, these guys are great. I have been a client since August of 2010. The previous management was let go sometime back in April. If the old management was still in place I would probably give the place a 2 star rating. The only reason I didn`t 5 star these guys now is the weird office hours and lack of an easy way to find out what they are. The only way to find out now is to either call, or go into the store. If they had a website, or a Facebook page, or something online letting everyone know what their hours were, I would bump my rating up to a 5.

Not going to provide details. I will say that i was unsatisfied to the point where i made an account so that i can vent with the Unprofessional business that is conducted at this location. I was only a customer for a few months.... they never answered the phone, they close early, the lady is rude. I will recommend every one keep shopping for a different place. Either lower your expectations and still be disappointed
I guess drunks can`t complain due to the nature of their situation, but since I`m not the client, I guess I`ll let out my frustration I`ve had to put up with this little witch running the place! First off, I am not vouching for the other people who posted on sites like Citysearch, Google, and Yellowpages, normally I myself am not negative, but darnit, the aforementioned hard-nosed woman running the place keeps at ... view moreit! First off, in the early mornings between 8am-1pm and late nights like 6pm-10pm, no one EVER answers. I`m told they use call forwarding, and the little witch got all defensive when I pointed it out, it was a SUGGESTION NOT AN ATTACK! Sorry if you were having a bad day, maybe she needs to go back to Burger King or whereever the heck she came from. Second off, two times she answered during store hours, and 10 seconds into the call she put me on hold for like 7 minutes. TWICE. Adding to that on three or four chances, the call was bumped to Houston, the older guy over there sounds like a cool cat I like him already, but he also sounded equally frustrated that he was having to deal with the Austin call volume. I don`t blame him, I understand. Third off, the two times I came at the posted opening of 12:30, she came in 15 minutes late, both times, and just about every time I come in her eyes are all glazed like she`s been hungover or stoned or maybe something hardcore; I`m a working class guy I don`t know the signs or differences between heroin, crack, ecstasy, meth, pot, or speed, but I`d be surprised at this point if she wasn`t on something. Fourth off, the non-drunks behind the counter just visiting, some days that shop is a daycare center for children of troubled teenaged mothers, other days that shop is a halfway house for her homies who through her OWN ADMISSION got released from jail THAT MORNING! Is that a switchblade in that dude`s pocket? I`m pretty sure that was a switchblade. I don`t mind workforce dating or subtle intimacy, but once I walked in during regular hours and she and her BF were dry humping, which was beyond akward for the rest of us, and the next month I came in and she was screaming his ears off calling off their engagement because he couldn`t wire up a Chevy HHR. True story. And that guy all by himself in Houston? One other time she got off the phone with him and was like ?ˆ?What an ahole?ˆ? Like I said: Burger King. Honestly, the devices, the store hours, the location are not all that bad, it would be superb if that witch would get some direct supervisory to kick her to the curb so the sanity of Austin, TX can be restored, until that happens we`re all screwed over. PS I`m not a negative guy, out of the seven times I`ve set foot in that building they treated me right once so yeah....

Great Place, Great Evironment
Interlock Systems of Texas is under new mangement and has been having great service ever since. The old manager with glasses and the old tech with glasses were two creepy wierd guys, who were slow unprofessional, and rude. The new staff is fast, very helpful and polite, ive had no problems, there charges are all up front with no hidden fees. im in and out every time. Interlock systems staff are not what is discribed in this last review. There company comes with high recommandation and does quality work. I have no electrical problems with my car. The old tech with glasses was clueless at times and im happy i didnt let him work on my car. The new manager whose a sweet little girl, who completely clean up the the nasty shop that the old manager left. Its a nice, clean, friendly environment, they dont judge you, and are always professional, the price is worth it. This last review is bogus.....

Great Service
This has been the third company I have gone through for my DWI conviction. The first company milked me like a cow with hidden fees and treated me like a number, while the second offered horrible, outdated equipment that often left me stranded at the worst of times.
Third time`s the charm I guess, as Interlock Systems made a very embarassing situation easy to take. The monthly appointments were very flexible, and ... view morehis shop even had central air and a comfy atmosphere that the other places lacked. The only employee I ever saw working there almost made being a convicted criminal palateable. He knew me on a first name basis and offered prompt service every month for the 4 years I was ordered to have the breathalyzer installed. At times he would be swamped with phone calls and computer problems, but never once did I see him lose his cool. He even fixed some wiring on my car for free after it broke down in the parking lot. His people skills were impressive to say the least. He treated everyone, from white-collar types to construction workers, with dignity. I would recommend this outfit over the two other companies I had previous breathalyzers with. Hopefuly, I will never need another breathalyzer again, but if I did, I hope Hedley`s still there.
