Go less than 1 star I would? I would if I could! Summary: 10/08/11: Oil change. Dropped off: 2 pm / Picked up: 5:45. This is what I found after I checked out: 1. Fluids NOT filled (was told they would be). 2. All tires still low on air (was told they would be filled). 3. Outdated oil change reminder tag, still on window. 4. Attendant did not know how to scan my Pep Boy card. 1. I asked for windshield fl... view moreuid, they filled it up. 2. Tires were about 20 psi. Pulled up to bay #1. Compressor was off. Was told it would take at least 15 minutes to fill compressor with air (like I wasn`t supposed to wait). I said, I can wait. I then checked my other tires and they were about 20-25 psi, so Pep Boys did not check any of them either. GET THIS: While I was waiting for the 15 minute compressor, I was told by mechanic #2 that they closed at 6 pm and I should have come earlier to get my tires filled. Apparently he didn`t know I was in for an oil change (I dropped my car off at 2 pm and it`s now 6:05) which is fine, but this is NOT good/kind customer service. One should choose their words better. About 5 minutes later mechanic #1 said they were filled. However, he only filled one side with the compressor turned on. He said the other side was filled without the compressor on, but everything was ok now. So why did he make a big deal it would take so long. And, if it really does take 15 minutes to fill, then he was lying about the corrected psi in the tires. 3. As I`m driving away, for the second time, I notice the OLD/outdated millage reminder tag for an oil change. So, they didn`t even put in a new tag reminding me when I am due back. 4. Not a big deal as perhaps he isn`t normally at the register, but as a convenience, I`m always told by PB`s to bring it. I only mention this small detail, because it was just one more thing where they failed. IN CONCLUSION: I don`t recommend this location! I have done business there before and have run into problems. But, this time it was enough for me to create a City Search account and complain about this location. The Hymeadow location is much better. ===> MY QUESTION IS: How do I know I actually got an oil change? I just called customer service and they are closed (6:45 pm). I`m calling customer service tomorrow and will follow up here. ONE LAST THING: Walmart only charges $30.00 for an oil change and they hand wash your windows. They also step you through you reciept showing you what was completed. PB charged me $42 and did nothing!! I only went to PB because I had a $25 certificate. Thanks for reading.

Disappointing to say the least

I had to take my car back to them recently to correct a problem from a year and a half ago. The service people were not helpful; and I had to call the national office to get them to take care of the problem. In correcting the original problem, they told me they had replaced a tire that had a nail puncture in the sidewall. A few days later, the tire was flat from a puncture in the sidewall.

They also left ... view moremy car with grease marks in the interior. Definitely not a customer-oriented business.
