Fort Worth, TX 10/9/2012 Based on what repairs were needed and recommended from Harold, Owner of HK Automotive it was decided to let him and his so-called certified mechanics fixed the issues. He listed four repairs that were needed, out of the four due to cost I started on the thermostat housing leak myself. I broke the head off a bolt and decided at that point to take it... view more to Harold. The removal of the bolt $112.00, installed new thermostat, gasket and re-installed thermostat housing, Next on the list the water pump, gasket was leaking, I furnished the water pump and gasket, which saved $212.50 from the quote of $400.00 on this one repair, last the intake manifold gasket was leaking, so end result they supposedly completed all the repairs and I get a call stating now the motor knocks!!! WTH It sounded perfect prior to them touching it. Harolds story kept changing as to his guys didn`t turn it on when the wrecker service dropped it off, too if they did turn it on it wouldn`t not harm anything if the car was only on for a minute or two. Remember the thermostat housing was off and sitting inside the car in the seat. The hose was hanging off and the radiator fluid was completely drained, which the wrecker service was smart enough not to start the car when informed of this information. Harold was also informed of this. Why he does not communicates to his employees is beyond me. I guess, because he gains from others loss regardless or repeat business or not. I would like the truth so which was it Harold did they or didn`t they turn the vehicle(98 mustang) on and drive into the shop! I know for fact his Mechanics turned the car on and drove it into the shop and told him to check the security cameras. He stated they were not on during that time period. how convenient! Also, stated from Harold several times is they never heard the car on.. LIAR His Mechanics heard and turned the vehicle on and it sounded fine to them with absolutely no knocks, pings or bells going off!!!! So $897.00, plus $85 for parts supplied, another $75.00 for the return tow home everyone is now telling me it sounds like the motor rod! Including DA Harold! THANKS HAROLD FOR ABSOLUTELY CONFIRMING WHY IT`S HARD TO TRUST A MECHANIC ESPECIALLY ONE THAT DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HIS WORK! Wish I had read the other reviews before I threw all my hard-earned money gained the temporary employment out the window into your greedy selfish lying hands! HAROLD/HK AUTOMOTIVE HALTOM CITY TEXAS DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. BUYER BEWARE! I HAVE PROOF IF YOU WANT TO COME SEE AND HEAR THE VEHICLE YOURSELF.Filing a complaint with the BBB
