Needing work in Customer Service Dept.
I`ll start with the good, the actual paint and body work was good. So if you take your car apart yourself and just have them paint the pieces, i would give this place 5 stars.
But since I didn`t do that, it`s 1
I should also say that if you have a car on the rare side and parts are hard to come by, stay far away from this place. Don`t fall for the ""Dedication to Excellence"" and ""Commitment to Service."" ... view more
They were recommended by the insurance company of the person that hit my car. I guess that should have been a flag, but it ""seemed"" like the quicker route. If not i would have had to wait for an adjuster to come out and blah blah blah, they told me that could take weeks.
I should mention that this was a good size dent behind the drivers door.
So i drop off my car and wait...........5 days pass and i`m there to pick it up. I inspect the the paint and body work which is good, it didn`t occur to me to really check anything else. When i get home i park it in front of my house and get ready to take a few pics for the forum post i started. I was aiming for a happy ending forum post, til i saw something odd.
My interior door panel was sticking up on one side an inch or so higher than the other side and when i rolled down my window the seal went with it. i was so close to being satisfied. I call the shop and inform them of what i found, but since it was Friday@5pm i would have to wait til the next week. So i wait til the next week and meet up with the estimator, in which i am told that there is basically nothing they can do cause my car is old and parts aren`t available to just replace the door panel. I leave on the agreement that he would talk to the insurance rep and see if i could be compensated monetarily.
A week passes with no word, so i get in touch with him for an update. I am interested in what the insurance rep said, but he glides over that subject. And offers to repair the door panel and a few other things i found in the past week. I say ""screw it"" cause i just want it to be done. Turns out his repair for the window seal is to glue it to the door panel. Which i guess sounds worse than it is, since before it was actually stapled. I agree and take the car in, they were able to properly set the door panel so it doesn`t sit higher than it should. But something interesting happened with the window seal.........it was glued alright, but it was glued in such a way that it no longer was a window seal but some random thing glued to my door panel.
When i get it back and notice this i honestly laughed a little, their one chance to redeem themselves with a small repair and they fall flat. i point out that the window seal no longer touches the window, he doesn`t see a problem with that. I STILL can put my hand in the space between the window and the seal. after a bit of talking the Manager says ""i will buy you another door panel to make this right."" We both know the same thing though, finding a driver side door panel for my make and year is near impossible.(`94 240sx) so i leave on the word that he`ll look for one and if i find one i`ll let him know. that was April 30th 2010 and i haven`t heard one word back, all i got was spam from my ""wanted"" ads. Seems as though he hopes i would forget and leave it. It`s hard to forget when it rains and you can see that bead of water go down inside the door..
if you do take your car there, do as i wish i did and take pictures of every square inch of your car. So you have a good ""before"" condition.
if you read all of this, congrats.
