I purchased a new vehicle from...
I purchased a new vehicle from a dealership that uses Alta Mere as a preferred vendor. My car was taken to be tinted the following week, but when it came back from Alta Mere the back seat was stained. I also noticed that all but one window had an obscene amount of bubbling, but I assumed it was normal, gave them the benefit of the doubt, and waited 2 months for the bubbling to disappear. When that didn`t happen, the... view more dealership took the car back to have everything re-done. I guess it ticked Alta Mere off because they left a policy sheet on my front seat and highlighted the part that says, "A 5% tolerance for imperfection is allowable and will be accepted as perfect work." Sorry, 5% imperfection is not perfect; 0% imperfection is. To top it off, they stained the hell out of my headliner the second time around. Even the guys at the dealership were appalled at the damage Alta Mere did to my car. Bottom line: they do half-a$$ work and retaliate when you bring it to their attention and ask them to do it right. Here`s a hint guys: it takes a lot less time and effort to just do it right the first time.

great experience
The guys there were very quick efficient and very friendly, they had my car done in half the time the quoted, it looked awesome to me but he noticed an extremely small imperfection and he fixed it in two seconds, I have no bubbles or streaks. Im so excited my car looks amazing adn the heat resistance tint is worth every penny. Thank you so much guys I will be sending all my friends to you.

Great Tint Shop
I had Alta Mere in Plano retint my Honda. The original tint job from Moon Shadow had faded to an ugly purple color. Alta Mere did a great job at a great price and it looks so much better now. They also installed a new Pioneer radio in the car. Great shop, great customer service - would recommend them to every one.

Great Tint and Radio Install
I went to Alta Mere in Plano this past week. They did a great job of stripping the old film off and tinting my Honda. That plus they installed a new Pioneer radio to take the place of the one that had been stolen. I had to get the car retinted because the original tint from Moon Shadow had faded and was all purple looking. Their tint job didn`t last but about 3 years. Alata Mere did it all great and reasonably priced... view more.

still doing great work..... 2 years later and another perfect tint job done on my new car!
I used altamere for my tinting needs for the first time in 2004. My husband wanted his windows tinted on his truck for his birthday. I really wanted to give him what he wanted but knew how very picky he was about who worked on his baby. I was hesitant to just price shop around and look for the best deal but was forced to. My first call was Altamere in plano tx and am happy to say they where my last. Other than the b... view moreusy schedule they had that weekend.... Sceduling MY vehicle to me tinted was tricky. Kyle`s truck was tinted quickly and it was perfect. Finaly a tint shop we can trust to do great work. I shortly after decided to tint MY old hunk of junk trying beat the texas heat . I was so excited to see them still in business and doing well. I just got my first new car in March. I of course used Altamere on plano parkway. I feel in love with my new car and wanted nothing but the best tinting on it and thats just what I got this trip the third time around. I highly recommend them if you need tint on your vehicle. Get ready to pick from a wide veriety of tint. Though it was a tough decision because of all the different kinds of tint there is they where very informational and answered all my questions about why there are those cars with that bubbled up junk on the windows. Go check them out! I promis you wont be disappointed! Keep up the great work guy`s

Is this a real business?
I was shopping for BOTH tint and audio for my newest vehicle. The guy at the desk didn`t even look up as I came in . I had to initiate conversation and he was obviously more interested in whatever magazine he was reading than in getting my business.
Asked about tinting options and costs, he pointed to generic price signs on the wall. He also said they don`t sell, just install, audio gear. I`d have ... view moreto buy my own and they`d install it for me. He didn`t seem willing to make any recommendations, either, for which audio to buy etc. (My vehicle is a bit unusual and some professional advice would have been appreciated.) Again, I seemed to be intruding on his free time.
He was clearly not interested in leaving his chair to even look at my vehicle for an estimate--in contrast to the other audio/tint businesses with helpful and willing customer service I had visited up til then.
My sense was that this was a part-time enterprise, staffed by a guy who had failed or cut class when Customer Service 101 was offered. (Perhaps today, he was just sitting in while the real pro was at lunch...)
A shame for the Alta Mere franchise. I had previously had my Lexus,Vettes and pickup done by them in Fort Worth. But not here in Plano. Too many choices to waste time (and money) on this amateurish ""business""! Don`t waste yours either!
