"Where Low Overhead Does Make A Difference"

Reviews:

This particular location is terrible! We had the oil changed on 1/12/2013 at this location and after arguing with the service tech that we did not need over $200 worth of extra work completed, we left thinking we were satisfied. The next day, however, the oil pressure light turned on. We took it back and they told us that we had a leak and needed repair work, but they claimed it wasn`t their fault. Now, less than... view more a week later, my wife was driving home from work and the panel lining the undercarriage of her Jeep started dragging the ground. I had to leave work early to come help and it turns out they didn`t screw the panel back! They stand around eating and talking in the shop, try and get you to pay for unnecessary services and then miss easy details. It`s obvious they don`t care about their customers or quality of work...just making money. I don`t ever write reviews, but I needed to write this one because I don`t want others to experience the same things I did. Pick a different shop to save your precious time and money.

Work Performed: State Inspection PROS: Clean work environment and nice waiting room, good wifi, nice staff. CONS: Left my car unlocked in their parking lot after work was complete. Two office employees ignored me in their backroom instead of attending counter for several minutes. There was no bell to ring to get their attention, and I felt it would be unprofessional to yell at them. :-/

They do not even deserve ONE star. They installed my air filter on my car incorrectly which caused it to break down in the middle of the highway. With my car still being under warranty I took it to the dealership to see if it was an engine issue. $200 later they said that it was the air filter. I went straight to Kwik Kar to discuss this and the location manager, Cory, said that this happens a lot and that th... view moree general manager would take care of the problem and I would be compensated for the oil change along with the repairs. After dodging my calls for days they finally said that they didn`t think they had to do anything about this so they didn`t. They should not be in business. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! ! !

Went for an oil change. They took my car right away. The shop is clean and well-organized. Their waiting room is neat and clean. Their pricing is about the same as I have paid elsewhere. All in all, I was very satisfied with the service and the helpful attitude of the techs I met.

Not sure what the story is with the other 4 reviews. I live a few blocks away and my wife and I use this location for oil changes and other repairs. I have always received friendly service without any issues. Between the cars they have changed the oil 5 times and performed a minor AC repair.

Usually my brother who is a mechanic handles all my maintenance and repairs but he was moving shops so I decided to take it to these guys for an oil change. I waiting 5-10 before i looked into the bay to see if they were working on my oil change. I noticed 1 guy in the pit unbolting something and one guy up top looking around. Being that the oil filter is up top and they had not yet taken the engine cover off, I walk... view moreed into the bay and asked if they were looking for the oil filter. The guy had a blank stare, and then said yes he was looking for my oil filter. I quickly pointed to him that you have to remove the cover and it is on top. I know since I am a girl he probably felt slightly embarrased. My concerns began right then as I was thinking these guys do oil changes for a living and don`t know where my filter is on a 2005 model Jetta. About 45 minutes to an hour later with and almost $90 i left. I never looked under the hood thinking how can they screw up an oil change. Well, about 1.5 months later my washer fluid needed to be filled up so i picked up a gallon from the store and took it to my brother who is a mechanic so he could check everthing else out. When we opened the hood, there was oil slung all of the cover and front fans and it smelled like burned oil. Upon further investigation, we noticed that they had ripped the whole dipstick off at the base of the dipstick tube and oil was leaking out at the base of the dipstick and hitting the fan and slinging everwhere. I quickly called Quick Kar and told them what was going on and they said they needed to talk to their General Manager and he would call me back. So, the GM called me back and said to drive all the way back to Cedar Park from where i was at so the bone heads could look at my car (30 miles). I had 2 whining kids in the car and really didn`t feel like going back to town. I drove back in to Cedar Park and they pulled my car around and took the dipstick off and put a big rubber plug in the hole and they said they would order a new dipstick and call me when it came in. I was called about a week later and told my part was in. I returned and they had the new dipstick on in about 10 minutes. What I am the most furious about is that I never received an apology, I was never offered any compensation for my trouble (ie free oil change, refund of the original oil change that caused the problem, etc.), and they never offered to clean all the stinky burned oil off my engine. I understand mistakes happen and I would have been content with an apology and a free oil change but obviously this didn`t happen. I would not recommend this place at all!!

I would never reccomend this c...
I would never reccomend this company to anybody. I took my Acura for a basic oil change. I`m sixty years young and was a mechanic for about 20 years of my life. I`ve always performed the maintenance on my own vehicles except this time. I previously had back surgery so I wasn`t able to change the oil myself. I recieved a coupon in the mail for a discouunt on an oil change at this location. I called them and asked if I... view more could bring my own oil and filter and they agreed. Upon arriving I was met in the parking lot by a gentlemen who asked if he could help me. I told him I needed an oil change and I had my own oil and filter. I was sort of reluctant to give him my car beacuse he looked like he had rolled around in a puddle of grease. The service took a little bit than normal and they apologized for the delay and said it would be about ten minutes longer. Thirty minutes passed so I asked the lady behind the counter on the staus of my car and she answer sort of rude and said they were really busy and I was next in line. Because I wasn`t in a mood to argue I just waited. They finished my car and drove it to the front of the store. I paid for the service and left. The next day I noticed an oil leak in my garage floor. I looked at it and I qiuckly called them back. They told me it was residue from the oil filter. I monitered the oil leak for a week and it still was leaking. I called and they told me to bring the car back and upon inspection they told me it was a leaking valve cover gasket. I asked I could look at the leak myself but they told me I could`nt enter the work area because of insurance purposes. I recently had the oil changed again at a different location and told them to please check the drain plug before they drain the oil. It was finger tight. We`ve driven the car almost 5000 miles with an oil leak they caused. Luckly the drain plug didn`t fall off and locked up the motor. I would of hated to see what I would of have to dealt with an issuse like that. I would difinetly not take my car back back nor will I reccomend to anyone to go back there. Their rude and not very smart even for a simple service like a basic oil change.

I won`t go here again. 1st time was for a transmission flush - something that is not supposed to be needed that often. I went back a few thousand miles later for an oil change and (without knowing I`d been there before) they told me I needed a transmission flush! Either they were trying to sell me unneccesary work or they didn`t do it right the last time I was there. Either way I`ll never go near a Kwik Kar again... view more.

DON`T EVER EVER BRING YOUR CAR...
DON`T EVER EVER BRING YOUR CAR TO this KWIK KAR location. (On Lakeline BLVD, next to BOA) I brought my car to this location in perfect condition, just need to oil change and fix the break light. When I took my car back, the door handles on both driver and passenger side were glued and broken. I came back the day after that and talked to that lady (assumed her the manager because that`s what they called her over ther... view moree - I don`t know - short blond hair with glasses and with negative attitude toward customer). That lady said that she opened the door and it`s broken that`s why she needed to glue it up. And when she was on the phone with me about the car`s condition, she never mentioned THAT to me. I told her fix both of the handles for me, she said NO, because that`s not HER who broke the handles. While I was driving smoothly, nothing happened before I brought the car to you guys. If you have a gut, come on you guys are ENGINEER and I assumed you guys have LICENSE and INTEGRITY, you broke it then accept it, do not blame on your customer. Plus she told me my car was OLD, because I am driving a 2000 Corolla, what`s this attitude? So KWIK KAR treat customers based on their CARS, what if I was driving a 2012 MERCEDES? To sum up, KWIK KAR sucks, DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE, WASTE MONEY and TIME, THE TECHNICAL ENGINEERS HERE ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL like any other places.
