Do not, ever, lease a car from RB Volvo
Thanks to Roger Beasley Volvo, I have an ongoing dispute with US Bank regarding the appropriate, per their lease agreement, early termination of a leased car. I have attempted to communicate with them to resolve this issue. I have been met with initial and complete hostility from those contacted at US Bank. I even enlisted the assistance of my brother who is an attorney. Granted family practice attorneys are probably... view more not the most adept at handling this type of resolution, but even he ended up in a yelling match with the employees.
Do not, under any circumstances, lease a car from US Bank. The final insult was when they charged me for excessive wear and tear of the car which is simply a complete lie.
Roger Besaley didn`t even acknowledge that I turned the car in. DO NOT TRADE WITH RB VOLVO!

Deplorable Business
About 2 months ago, my 2000 Volvo S40 started messing up: service engine light, ABS brake light, odometer/speedometer stopped working...so luckily for me, my brother is an ASC MasterTek and took a look at the car. The codes scanned told me a I had a faulty MAP sensor...easy enough. Well, not...turns out Volvos have the same name for multiple parts. Ok...fine...so we take it into Roger Beasley Volvo to find out whi... view morech sensor needs replacing. I take it in, and instead of a sensor (liek the codes say I need), they say I need a new CEM- about $1,000. So, instead of shelling out that much, I bought a used CEM on ebay. To properly install the CEM, the computer needed to be programmed to match my key. So, back to Volvo. I left it there 3 days....and they finally got around to telling me that the original diagnosis was fine....nothing was wrong with the computer. Instead I had a problem with a MAP sensor....weird...I think that`s what I told them in the first place. Although I only spent about $75 computer I bought off ebay, I found that investment was completely irrelevant. I asked repeatedly how they could mis-diagnos and what would have happened if I DID do what they suggested the first time and replaced the CEM for $1,000. No response.
THEN....I was called a liar after Roger Beasley Volvo broke my ash tray and said that it was not broken in their care. When I returned to pick my car up from being misdiagnosed (for the second time....) I found that my windshield was also scratched in 2 different places; both scratches circular and about 2 in diameter. (Windshields are pretty hard to scratch...) That, too, was also ""clearly not Volvo`s fault"". Of course not...how could it be with all of the other QUALITY and GREAT work done in fixing my car. Volvo did absolutely nothing to help me: I am now out $100 dollars for buying a CEM that was not needed...thank you brilliant techs...I have a broken ash tray (must be MY fault, and I must be lying...), and my windshield is now so very tackily-scratched. HORRIBLE service. After speaking to the service manager who claimed to be a Volvo ASC MasterTek...he did nothing to quell my concerns. When I asked if he cared to keep my business, he pretty much told me that then would be a good time to discontinue a customer relationship and that my concerns were invalid. He did not care to fix the damages done to my car, and he did not care to diagnose the original problem that I brought my car in for in the first place. Pretty dumb mistake, too. My lemon of a car is a huge money pit...Volvo could have easily sucked me dry a little more. I will never return to Roger Beasley Volvo, and I will do everything in my power to degrade the name of the company. I am shocked and appalled at the lack of respect and concern for my business.

terrible service experiences, unreliable cars
We`ve owned three Volvos in the past 8 years, totaling roughly $95k in vehicle purchases. After a number of problems with our S60, we are done with Volvo and Roger Beasley. Prior to having 50k miles on our S60, we had numerous functional (mechanical and electrical) problems. We`ve also had a number of more minor problems, such as the sunroof rattling and malfuntioning and staying open. We`re now at 67k miles and... view more about to divest ourselves of all things Volvo, except the bad taste in my mouth. Our vehicle probelms could have been mitigated by a decent service crew and better attention to quality by Volvo`s manufacturing. Our service experience has been bad, with inaccurate cost estimates, missing parts, and untruthful service advisors.
I now drive a Toyota, which has fewer problems, better local service, and is less expensive to maintain.
Do yourself and your bloodpressure a favor. Go to an independent garage in town for Volvo service: Swedish Auto Service up north, Phoenix in central/south Austin. I`ve had good experiences with both.

The Worst Dealer Franchise in Austin
Anything with the name ""Roger Beasley"" cannot be a top dealer in Austin. I had service done at the Beasley Mazda dealership in August that was horrible. They do not stand behind the Mazda product. Stay away from this dealer franchise.

don`t waste your time
What a waste of my time. I found a pre-owned vehicle on autotrader and the ad said that the vehicle was located at the roger beasley on 290. I get there, only to find out that EVERY autotrader ad says the used cars are at that location. Come to find out, the car is located in Georgetown. I should have stopped there. But I drive to Georgetown only to find out that the car is not on their lot either. I won`t waste any ... view moremore time on Roger Beasley!

WORST DEALERSHIP EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE WISE
When I first entered the dealership, there were 3 salesmen who were lounging around and no one tried to help me out for about 5 entire minutes.
The representative disrespected me by using my age as a qualification as someone who is not knowledgeable. He was rude to me and disrespected my family while I was trying to make a deal. He would not work with me at all and would not even consult the manager when I a... view moresked him about the price. During our negotiations, he would stop and take a call from his daughter and called his friend to buy something from him.
When I told him that I have a check ready to go and make a deal, he told me to come back later and get a certified cashier`s check. Yet, I did not see any else making a deal have the same problem as me so I naturally thought that this had to be because of my age, but to disrespect a customer due to age does not make any sense to me especially since I was ready to buy a car.
For anyone living in the Austin area, I would recommend going around Austin and not visiting the Volvo dealer in Austin.

Stay Away from Brian C in Used Auto Sales
We bought a 2002 Jag there 2 weeks ago. Within the first 48 hrs, it was in the shop twice. Then Brian came and picked it up because the cars was making noices and he took it on a 300 mile joy ride. He took his daughter to school, he went and did his errands, and it was our car! We owned it when he took it from our property. We got another car, but we aren`t happy with it and want nothing to do with this dealership. H... view moree`s unprofessional, pushy, lies, and tells me I`m lying when I say there`s something wrong with that car. They took that car back, but now there`s a FOR SALE sticker in the window. I have a big problem when there`s something wrong with a car, the Sales Manager takes MY car and uses MY GAS to drive 300 miles, tells me there`s nothing wrong with it and says we did all that work when it was in the shop, ""just to make you happy"" how can you do major break work and replace tires and do an alignment if nothing is wrong? And what law says when they pick up YOUR car they are allowed to take it on a joy ride for 300 miles? We did give the car back, but the VERY dishonest practices by Brian C of this dealership makes me want to let everyone know not to waste your time or money, as the cars they sell are not trustworthy nor is Brian C of Roger Beasley. Buying a car should be pleasant, it`s a very major purchase, very stressful and when I find out that the manager is taking our car and using our gas to run his personal errands and take his daughter to school and go 300 miles in MY CAR, this is definately not acceptable nor legal.

Top notch gently used classic Volvos and service
I`ve been a Volvo lover from way back and a customer of the local dealership for at least 10 years. Bought last Volvo from Tony Garcia in September 2006. I wanted a Volvo that did not look like the new made-by-Ford models. I wanted a Volvo that looked on the inside and out like a classic. Tony found what I asked for in less than a day. A sporty 2000 white Volvo sedan with tan leather seats and that classic Volvo look... view more that is timeless. Smooth ride. Well-cared for trade-in that had just arrived.
When I`d had car for less than a week and battery failed, sales staff got it fixed for me.
Service is great. Tip: Call in advance for regular service and reserve rental car.
Sales staff not stuffy. No pressure. Fair negotiations.

I`m very picky
i`m very picky about detail. i dont like messing around with fluff when buying a car. i can say that i highly recommend asking for Shannon Petty at Roger Beasley Volvo. she was very quick and her attention to detail was sharp. there was no hassle when it came time to do the deal. up front discounts made this deal go by fast. i really do not like it when you have to spend a day at the dealer just going back and f... view moreorth from the ""office"" to the salesperson`s desk. if it goes past 2 trips with me, i usually just walk out while they are away wasting more of my time. this was not the case at Roger Beasley. they aren`t greedy there, and i`m sure they rely on volume and word of mouth to bring new and repeat business in. i used to buy my cars from a personal friend that was even 5 hours away....now i buy my cars from Shannon at Roger Beasley. :)
thanks Shannon!! we love the S60R!!

Great Salesperson at Roger Beasley Volvo
Shannon at Roger Beasley Volvo is a premier salesperson. She is honest, direct, responsive, respectful and gets the job done. We decided on a Volvo over many other brands largely because of the treatment we received here. It is surprising how many carsalespeople are detrimental to the sale and have no idea how to treat customers. You will be pleasantly surprised and satisfied with Shannon at Roger Beasley Volvo in Au... view morestin.
