SURPRISE!!!!!
I new I needed brakes BAD, I was hearing the noises from the wheels already. I heard about the horror stories about the brake chain guys but I really did not have a choice. My neighbor Bob told me he takes his truck to the Just Brakes in HWY 3 and they do a good job.
So, I took my F250 in and the manager ""Corky"" met me at the drive. He told me about the 99.88 special and imphasized ""most cases"". Who am I kidd... view moreing. I have a 3/4 ton truck with grinding brakes. I knew it wasn`t going to be 99.88. What happened next I really wasn`t expecting. Corky asked me to come out to the shop and he walked me around my truck showing me my brakes in every detail. What caused this, and what caused that, and how to prevent it in the future. Yes, a little educating and patience on his part and I understood exactly how broken it was and what it needed to be repaired. I was figuring around $1200 on up. Corky explained what it would take to fix it correctly and then he said what I needed most and first, then I could come back and fix the rest later. He gave me an option....Wow..never had that happen before. Come to find out it was not as expensive as I thought it would be. I decided to fix it all for the $725 he quoted me. A far cry from the 99.88 that was advertised, but I understand it was really broken. I needed rotors and the bit. I think if every manager would take the time Corky did to explain and educate then I don`t think Just Brakes would have the rap they have now. I just wanted to give a shout out to Corky and the boys at the just Brakes at HWY 3 in Friendswood and say thanks. You have a customer for life.
