Great service, honest work

This JustBrakes location has really changed for the better since the previous management. It seems as though Mario is very knowledgeable about the brake system and incredibly honest about repairs. January 2013 experience: after my boyfriends brakes locked up, I towed his car to the Collins location and they told me that the only problem was a bolt. They replaced the bolt for free and since the pads and shoes were... view more still in good condition, nothing was charged. I`m sure being a female alone at a mechanic shop, they could have been dishonest and overcharged me but this was anything but the case. Most recent experience from February 2013: brought my own vehicle in for brake service. There was some grinding and squeaky noises when I would drive. They were able to accept a coupon from the justbrakes website and I ended up spending a lot less than I originally had thought. Again, Mario was extremely nice and explained everything BEFORE they did any work on my vehicle. Overall, I`m extremely pleased with their service and workmanship. Will be coming back soon for my next oil change.

Dec 2010 took car because of l...

Dec 2010 took car because of loud squeaking brakes. I had all brakes changed, special order not the 99 special. Spent $300.00, said there was rust in brake line, so the flushed and chenged it. And still had the loud squeak when i left, I took it back in March to replace the rotors, since I could not afford that at the time. Spent another $250.00, and told me my struts were going to need replacing. I guess the me... view morechanics there are all deaf, they could not hear the squeak. Fusrrated, did not take my car back until June 2011, brake fluid light turned on. The swore to me up and down it would only take 5 minutes. Well sure enough it did, the light was not on when I got in my car. Dec 2011, I took my car to dealer to have work done and the mechanic told me that the "brake fluid sensor" wire was disconnected and he plugged it in and the "brake fluid light" came back on. So back in June all Just Brakes did was disconnect the sensor. If you are a "woman", I recommend you not takee your car there. I will never go back there again.

ehh, their ok

i went there for the first time to get my brakes looked at and they were very honest with me saying that i didnt need any work done that day but could check back in a few months to get their friction re-align special. they said it would cost $99 dollars to do. once they goy my car up and the tires off (when i went back 3 months later), they said "oh, your car requires a special kind of pad that we cant cover in ... view morethe special we`re offering so its going to cost $240 instead." i felt that they should have know that before i got there since i had (1) been there before and (2) called ahead to make an appointment and provided the make/model info on my car. seemed a bit slimey to me. i would have told them to forget it but needed the work done right away given my circumstances.
