Ripped Off By Brake Check
I took my vehicle to Brake Check 08/28/11 because my brakes were starting to squeak. I was told by Daniel that I needed brake pads, flush, rotors turned, and adjustment. I paid $238.00 to have recommended work done. Two weeks later my vehicle is squeaking and grinding. I take car back to brake check, they look at my invoice and says, well they recommended calipers. I say, they didn`t recommend new calipers. My invoic... view moree clearly states, that right side calipers will need repair on next brake service and that it was cleaned and in GOOD shape. I told them to re-read invoice, and that the mechanic said that my calipers are good, why would I want to repair them if it`s not needed? Long story short, they are still trying to get me to repair calipers that clearly doesn`t need repairing because they are trying to get more money and don`t know what they did to mess my car up worst. BIG mistake going to them. I should have gone to Firestone like I was going to do in the first place. I will pursue this and take them to small claims court and sue for my money and time off work. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Rip-Off Place
I took my Nissan Altima in to have the brake pads replaced (only 24,000 miles on the car). They called and said I needed new brake pads for the front and new rotors. They said they could not save the old rotors. The cost $455.00. So I called my dealer and had brake check put everything back together. My dealer called and said the brake pads had 80% life still left and the rotors just needed to be turned. NEVER will I... view more go back to this place, they are just there to make money and do not care about the customer. I had to give a least 1 star in order to publish, otherwise they would get a zero in rating.

Brake Check fraud and theft
I had my fiance take my 2000 Dodge Ram Van 1500 to Brake Check prior to our trip in this van to Los Angeles for vacation. I had my two children ages 5 and 7 as well as my fiance on board with me. I wanted Brake Check to lube the chassis, inspect and lube the front wheel bearings, align the vehicle, balance the tires, and check the brakes, etc for our long 4,000 mile trip. We had taken the van back twice for the align... view morement as it was not done correctly either time, but our time to leave for vacation at that point was here, so I decided to live with the pulling to the right which in retrospect may have been the over tightened bearing or poor alignment practices if the alignment I paid for was even done at all. However with repairs done, the van still pulls the same amount to the right as it did before I paid them to repair that. Near Deming, New Mexico, on a stretch of I-10 where the speed limit was 80 mph, I felt and heard a noise followed by vibration and I immediately pulled from the left lane to the right shoulder only to find my right front wheel on about a 45 degree angle from upright. We had to have the van towed in to town and what they discovered was appalling. Not only was the axle spindle broken due to over tightening of the wheel bearing (the left side still intact was severely over tightened), but neither of the inner nor outer bearings had fresh grease on them, the right bearing came apart from the pressure and lack of lubrication and that is what broke the axle. Had I not been lightening fast to get the van stopped, we would have lost the wheel and being such a high center of gravity vehicle, it would have rolled and possibly maimed or worse all on board. Further, the chassis lube we paid for was not done, nor was the vehicle aligned correctly which we took to them twice to get it right although the pulling to the right still exists. I was defrauded and stole from as I see it and mostly our lives were in jeopardy via Brake Check. Richard Zephro
