My Chrysler 300M would not pass inspection because the Check Engine light was on. I take the car to Classic and $750 dollars later they replace several sensors and pass inspection. Three weeks later the Check Engine light comes back on. I take it back to Classic, they keep it for two days and they tell me 1) I need an engine rebuild...or 2) Rats ate my wires causing a short.... or 3) oil on the wires c... view moreaused a short. Either way....they cannot cost effectively fix my car. Parts aren`t readily available....my car has long term problems. They said they DID get the engine light off by shrink wrapping the exposed wires. On the way home....THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES BACK ON. When I call....they tell me my car has problems. I questioned the initial $750.00 to pass inspection......whether the sensor replacement was necessary......and....of course it was. I was going to buy a new car but they appraised my 2004 Chrysler 300M at $1200. The funny part is....two days later I get a call from their Sales Manager who wanted to offer me TOP DOLLAR for my car as a trade in. He sheepishly told me he wasn`t aware after I told him his appraiser already offered me insulting bottom dollar for my car. On principle alone...after $750 dollars and not fixing my car ...PLUS offering $1200 for trade in - I traded it in for double what Classic Mazda offered me...and bought a new car.....Eckert Hyundai across the street got my business.
