State of the art
Without putting too fine a point on it, there is no one else I would trust with my Porsche - dealers included. Their work is outstanding, they?ˆ™re beyond fair, and they are very thorough. This is how automotive repair and preventative maintenance should be handled.

Excellent customer service! Take notes Audi dealership...
We had an Audi that needed a repair ASAP, and while the dealership couldn`t get us in for a couple of weeks, I found ECL on the internet by chance and when I called they invited me to come in right away. Not only were they courteous, they maintained communication with me and kept me updated on the repairs at all times. They had to order parts and everything, yet I got the car back in two days time. European Cars Limited
EUROPEAN CARS: They raised the price when I left their shop, incomplete service, scratched my car, embellished service they don?ˆ™t provide.
I called to ask what they charged for an 80,000 mile service and was told it would be $450. I made an appointment for the next day. I asked if they had a loaner car and they said they didn?ˆ™t but had a relationship with a nearby Enterprise Car Rental.
In reality t... view morehey had no relationship with Enterprise. They just knew where the Rental Office was located. I expected Enterprise would send a car to us. No mention was made from European Cars that having a reservation was needed. They had implied a level of service they didn?ˆ™t provide.
I dropped off the car at European Car and they drove me to the neighborhood Enterprise location.
Enterprise only had cars for people who made reservations. I called European Car and they graciously took us downtown, although we had made plans to run several errands while the car was being worked on based on what we were told by European Car. Having no rental car we could not do so.
European Car called me and said the price for the Service was now $550, $100 more than they quoted yesterday. When questioned about the price difference, Matthew said, oh, I was just guessing yesterday. When he quoted the price yesterday he said wait I?ˆ™ll look that service up, got the year and model from me and told me the price was $450. He didn?ˆ™t say he was just guessing. I had based my decision to use them on reviews on City Search and the quote. Now that they had my car and I was miles away from their garage, the price was increased by $100. I had wasted enough time on this so I told them to go ahead and do the work.
When I picked up my car I checked the maintenance book and they had neglected to stamp the service. I went back into the shop and asked them to do so. They did.
At the first stop I made after picking up the car I discovered a long scratch on the passenger?ˆ™s side that wasn?ˆ™t there when I took the car in. It looked like a tool scratch down the side of my car. I also found a piece of interior trim in the car that had not been replaced after the service.
People were nice but the service was not complete, they damaged my car, increased the price from the day before and wasted my time.

Most honest, caring and experienced...so worth it!
I have had the opportunity to go to European Cars for several years now with my 13 year old BMW, and cannot say enough postive feedback about the service, expertise and price! This is also evidenced by many that I have referred who have also experienced a most positive result. When you don`t know alot about cars, it can be nerve wrecking to have a problem. What I have found is that no question goes unanswered, is ... view morefully explained to my satisfaction, and that the price is the most reasonable around for BMW. Also, that the customer certainly matters - and the motto of the organization is apparent...that the customer is pleased with the results! I would recommend European Cars to any who need car service from people who know what they are doing, can explain the issue and price the fix accordingly. They can even direct you to an appropriate service should they not support your needs - mine was a tear in leather apolstery. i was not steered wrong! You can trust all who are there and know that Phil and his team support a postive experience as well as positive results!

Finally!! A repair shop with integrity!!
Let me preface this rating with the fact that I`m a lifelong resident of the Houston Memorial area. I drive a Volkswagen and as any Houston resident knows- there are hundreds if not thousands of repair and body shops to take an import in Houston.
I was involved in a fender bender and found myself standing in the middle of the street with no help. European Cars Limited provided safe and immediate towing to their s... view morehop. My Volkswagen was provided with a flatbed tow which for my car is mandatory. The service manager explained the process in clear no-nonsense detail. He called me several times with updates.I just can`t say enough good things about the owner, Phil.
I have owned this Volkswagen for almost a decade. I have taken it to over twenty shops in town and at least 2 local VW dealerships.... European Cars is by far the most honest experience I have had since purchasing this vehicle. I have no hesitation in referring my friends and family to this shop.
Bottom line... I trust these guys. Their work is outstanding.

Pretty good
I would have given this shop five stars, but there was a bit of an issue. I took my VW into the shop to be repaired. Its getting older and starting to have more issues. They are definitely affordable and do good work, but the issue I experienced was this. Upon picking my car up after the repair was finished, I went to put the extended warranty informtion back into the glove box and the handle broke in my hand. I noti... view moreced that it appeared that it was opened in a very rough manner. I called the shop and received a call back from the owner stating that they would ""take care of the issue and were very sorry it happened"". I then later received a call back from another employee with a price, and never mentioning the fact that I was told it would be ""taken care of"". So here I am, with a glove box that has its handle broken off and I did not break it. So, that issue was a little disappointing. But mechanically they fixed the car correctly.

honest, reliable and much cheaper than Audi dealerships
After getting ripped off with Audi dealerships on so many occasions, I am extremely thankful I stumbled upon this place. Phil who runs the place is simply and honest guy who does quality work. As simple as that. Forget the dealerships... Ted

Wonderful Experience, Highly Recommend!
After having horrible experiences with my Houston Audi dealer, I didn`t have high hopes in their being able to correctly diagnose my 2002 A6`s problem, but I was pleasantly surprised. They were absolutely wonderful. My dealer incorrectly diagnosed my car`s problem with an estimate of $4300!! They said I needed new Cam Adjusters, belts, etc...Thank GOD I didn`t let them fix my car.
But these guys actually ... view morefound out what was wrong with my car for a fraction of that price. Turns out I needed only a new time belt tensioner, and cam shaft position sensor. Thank goodness I found them and I will never again go to my dealer for anything! They were the nicest group of people, kept me informed of the status of my car, and fixed her up good as new. If you`re looking for an honest, experienced shop to service you car, give these guys a try. You won`t be sorry.
Unfortunetly, my car has again died, which is why I am again looking up their site. LOL! Hopefully, it won`t be too bad, but I feel a lot more secure in bringing her back to these guys, and not being held hostage at the dealers. =)
