doctor.
This is probably because you have very limited recourse in the case of wrongdoing.
Its more like looking for a good lawyer. If you`ve had a lawyer before, you may remember that little voice asking you,, ""Did I just get screwed? Again?""
Ron Beach is cordial, soft spoken and polite. He listens when you describe the problem. You can te... view morell by looking at his eyes. *They* listen too. I had the distinct sense that I shaved off 30 minutes labor cost of electrical trouble-shooting when I described the exact sequence of events leading up to the failure of the engine to start.
When I asked him if I could hand around and wait to finish the job, he told me honestly that it would make him feel uncomfortable, since there were 2 other cars in front of me and he would feel obligated to finish my job ahead of theirs. That would not be fair. This did not suit me, but its what I would expect from my mechanic if I were one of the other guys.
I picked up my car early. He was not expecting me, I Just showed up and the car seemed ready to go. He was in the middle of something, but we finished the deal. I paid. The next day, the car died on Mopac on the way home, and I paid $150 to tow the car to Ron Beach Automotive.
The sleazoid tow truck driver dropped me off at my home for another $20. I decided at that point that I hate all cars and all tow trucks and all mechanics.
Sat down at the computer to explain to my boss why I would not be at work the next day. Ding-Dong. The doorbell. It was Ron. He told me that he had not put the charging harness back on and this is why the car died. I had left my phone at work, so he could not contact me, so he used my GPS`s ""Go Home"" function to take him to my house and give me the good news. He also offtered to pay the tow bill. I refused for obvious reasons. For I had found the holy grail of all car owners. An honest mechanic. The $150 tow bill and $20 for the ride home is peanuts for the peace of mind you get when you know you are not being exploited.
My email is thatsmymarmite at yahoo dot com If you would like to contact me regarding this, to verify etc please do.
